    bodhi seeds

Yeah, I know I've seen you've got some nice stuff, so I don't blame you! I'm also one to try every new variety I come across... For scientific purposes, of course...

    bodhi seeds

From what I've seen, (but I don't have nearly the Bodhi experience as most here) it seems like it goes Testers>Production stuff if it's stable enough>freebies if it's not popular enough... But it also seems like the slept on freebies get some good reviews from those who've gotten them too, so...

Vertical DIY LED top fed recirculating hydro... thing

Yeah, sorry, that pic is a little bleached out at the angle I took it. Below is a pic of how it looks to the eye- more like a 3500k everyone is used to. The strip light is cylinder shaped, 10 inches in diameter, and uses 30, 22 inch strips powered by a Meanwell 480w driver. It hangs vertically...

    Help with plant problems.

Yeah, I've never run them, but I know they can be tricky to get right if they don't veg properly. Less forgiving than photoperiod plants in that regard, because you can't just veg till you're ready to flip to flower.

    Help with plant problems.

Looks like she's hungry, possibly pH is off point, and yeah, looks like she's been flowering about 6 weeks. It shouldn't have started 6 weeks ago outside if it wasn't an auto flower, or a clone brought out from a long light cycle. Is it shaded most of the day? Not sure why it would flower so...

Vertical DIY LED top fed recirculating hydro... thing

What's up RollItUp? This is my first attempt at a "journal". I'm normally not one to document and update on a regular basis, but I'll give it a shot. I've been enjoying the journals here, so figured I'd start one of my own for others entertainment. Pics will be from past runs, and hopefully...

Dipping my toes into solar powered, recirculating, vertical hydro

By the way, strains currently outside include Bodhi's Dread Bread, Schwaggy P's Skunky VA, Bodhi's Sky Lotus, and Bad Dawg's Star Dragon. Skunky VA and Sky Lotus are in bottles on the fence, and Dread Bread and Star Dragon are in 2 gallon pots of dirt. It'll be their first time outdoors for...

Dipping my toes into solar powered, recirculating, vertical hydro

What's up ladies and gents? This summer I decided to give a shot at something I've always wanted to try out- some outdoor hydro, powered by the sun! It's a little late in the season to start, but better late than never, right? It's still a work in progress, but it's functional so far anyway...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

Yeah, you could cut the bends, or maybe just drill some holes in the inner section of the fitting, inside the column. Then the water flowing down should get inside the bend far enough, hit the newest roots, and drain through to the sites below. It's just a concern the first few days they're in...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

How you gonna do a vertical grow in a round silo with those? ;-) Are you electrically/DIY inclined? If so, even minimally, you could build your own better lights for .50-1.00 per watt, where they're charging $2+ per watt for theirs... If you can order from an electronics site from where you...

Convince me to switch to vertical!

How many plants do you plan to run? What would Heath do? In a multi-bulb square room, with low plant count, he would run 5 of those bulbs in a 5 dot dice pattern, with 4 plants in the areas between lights. The center light would stay on the whole 12, while the corners would flip flop 2 at a...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

You should only need about 100m of drain pipe, or a little over 300ft, whether drain pipe or PVC. Here, the drainage pipe is .82 per foot, and PVC is 1.24 per foot. Those bends would probably work; my minor concerns would be whether they stay in place without wobbling around, and having enough...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

Oh I know, for sure. I love those ideas, and the fun of the builds, like you said before. I know PVC with all the correct wyes and fittings is awesome, but good God, we're talking like $9k just in 6in wyes, without big discount, which I'm sure you'd be getting. Don't forget your Reflectix...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

Right on, everyone has to work with their particular environment... I'm sure the plants will stretch for the light, if they feel it isn't enough. You could anchor the plants to the hanging strap supporting the above row with a simple wire, and not have to worry about an inner trellis either...

A tale of Mothers, clones and vertical growing in an old silo.

Ah, ever since I saw Heath's work, and been growing vertically, I've had the same thoughts whenever I see silos! Let's toss around a few ideas for fun... The first couple issues I'd think you'd have to overcome will be irrigation and lighting, with the particular dimensions you'd be working...

    Aeroponic clone bucket ??'s

Yeah, you should be, but it ultimately will be whatever works best in your personal environment. Some get roots in days, some in weeks. Generally, you should have roots within 2 weeks, but some may be slower due to environment, and sometimes strain. If everything is perfect, you might get...

    Aeroponic clone bucket ??'s

It could be about that simple, or just as easily end in miserable failure, realistically. I'll try to think of a couple important details, to try and get the odds in your favor; If you're going to leave the pump running 24/7, it's going to create heat, which will likely be your worst enemy...
