I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

2.6 µmol/watt isnt bad for $1,179.00 running at 646 Watts (1679.6PPF). I hit a cheaper price point running less wattage and hitting the same light output. Not sure where the issue is there. Mine does 1710PPF at 600W for $900. Seems like mine would be better. Keep in mind I round down to 2.85umol...

That doesnt include reflector losses. Its well known that the real world number including those is 1.7umol/j.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Not sure why you cant get to it, Its online and others have been able to reach it. I'm not sure how it could be Chinese if I created it and I'm from Michigan, but I get that its the internet and people can pretend. I'm not a company in regard to the light creation. Its just me doing everything...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Thought we were talking about the color spectrum being 3000k. The price as stated is to drop the price of production. It's a point I'm aiming for, I can miss the target but if I hit it that let's me drop the price more then pass the savings to everyone that buys. Try this link...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

I appreciate it, I did try that a while back with a 90 cri MH and it doesn't scale to 1000W well from what I've seen. Flowers want more red in bloom but the higher cri does help a bit. My results weren't terrible just not as good as going from 4000k 70cri cobs to 2700k hps were from my...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

It works, buds are dense, but they are also smaller than what I get from a standard HPS. If I Veg under the 4000k light then move to 2700k they explode in growth and size. I literally have a plant that needs a double scrog because it grew so large. It does help that I use 30 gal pots per plant...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

That may be the case, however if you know where to go you can find a manufacturer that has them, buy enough and you can make it worth while. See my signature for details. I agree that there is some crap out there, hard to tell for sure without testing. I used the best SK I could find. They are...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

But are they available is the question. When I contacted Samsung they said the 3000k SK was the highest bin they made and even finding fair priced lm302b SK chips that are color accurate is hard.

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

You are right on the binning but the top that's for all color temperatures so it is the top for it's color range. If you want higher you need to go to 4000k-5000k which sucks for flower. I have a 4000k light and it makes veg amazing but flower with it is terrible.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Yes they are 3000k All prices have the required components included. Only two lights need a heatsink. All others are able to be cooled without one.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Depending, if someone buys the design that has the funds stated they could make it but it would require a bigger markup to the retail price to make a company want to sell it. From what I've seen most companies charge a 100-300% overhead based on component and production. Im going to buy enough...

QB960 (960xlm301b) quantum board from China

I hit mine with 800-1200ppfd depending on the height. I wouldn't trust a conversion. Try getting the hydrofarm par meter it works as well as the others from my testing. Last I checked it's only $100

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

It took a long time to make the page and a longer time to do the math behind the design to get it to work. Just take your time to get it done. As the age old saying goes. If you want something done right you have to do it yourself.

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

If you have designed a 3.2umol/j light that is under $1000 and full spectrum (meaning white not blurple) then I would love to see it. Definitely would sell better than my 2.85umol/j light. That means you have a 531W light that is 1700umol output. That's the best I've ever heard of! I could make...

I Need Your Help! There's a New Light on the Block

Nope, Its about how many you put on a board within reason. The main reason its better is because I increased the efficiency to a use-able and fair level. All about how you design things. No matter what this wont be my last creation. :hump:
