Most datapoints from 6-800 I see. With all the spread in yield that the whole spectrum of intensities. What does the color codes mean?

Will you double the yield by doubling the light? Perhaps to a point, and that would be the point of highest light efficiency. But you'd still get more by increasing, for a long time. Cost/g would increase, from very fucking low to just fucking low. Cost from electricity, obviously, most other...

Is the 709-HLG240H-C1400B a good driver?

For my own probably uneducated reasons I went with 1400mA, but I can't advise any way or another. But as for the cost of power, logic dictates that given that if the other factors are good, more power equals more bud. To some ill-defined point people argue over. So maybe you should do the math...

Why? Because it would be typical lol. Thanks.

How would one go about calculating ppfd from multiple sources of light, ie cob grow lights? Is it so easy as to add all the sources? I can't quite believe it is. But with ppfd ready, is DLI found the usual way (ppfdXhX3600/1m)? Loved the abbreviated version, gonna go find it now... Btw, my...

Is the 709-HLG240H-C1400B a good driver?

That driver can use all kind of ac power. If memory serves me right, the MWs are pretty much as efficient at 80% as at 100%. But if you're never going to add a 5th cob you'd save a pretty penny on going for the 185. Tme.eu has the 185 @€47.40 while the 240 is €61.90...

Project New COB Veg Light, planning thread

@G84 saved me yesterday by linking to tme.eu. have been there before, but then I was so lacking in knowledge it looked like Chinese to me. So now I'm filling up the cart with all I can think of. As of now: .75mm2 solid core wire, 100m M3/10mm, 100pcs M4/6mm, 100pcs M4/8mm, 100pcs Grommets for...

Project New COB Veg Light, planning thread

Learned about wires today. The pretty cob holder for the 1212 allegedly only takes .5mm2 and the Ideal takes 75mm2. Tme.eu is our friends in this. They also have low to medium current drivers pretty cheap. Not to forget about the screws and such. The 140 hs have 6mm deep M4 attachment holes.

There was some discussion about the dept of those mounting holes, how deep do they go? 8mm was too long? But that was maybe the 111mm? Read my brain out on the high tech stuff, but the basics is actually more complicated. Thank you for the patience.

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Hmm, the farther the top is from the, the fewer doublings of this distance are left on the plant. (If that makes any sense). So to maximize the efficiency of a system it's preferable with more than one veg light. One for babies and one for adolescents. Or rather, zones, just like the commercial...

Cheap and Cheerful DIY using Citizen cobs

Thus making it easier to supply enough light to babies than to fully grown girls. I always did have this hunch that the inverse square law thingy was due to increased space and not decreased light. Won't be vegging trees, a foot or two at the most. Would love them to be tight as can be at moving...

$26 for 100m .75mm2. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and assume color doesn't matter and pick the one I like best. Edit:http://www.tme.eu/en/details/h05v-u075sw/single-core-cable-solid/helukabel/28769/

Cutter Electronics: Complete DIY COB kits

Maybe where you're at, after a quick look it seems to be the same situation on hifi as on ac. The Italian guys didn't ship here (I think that's what it said lol but it could be because I'm too ugly for all I know. On with the search then...

The Italian one is perfect with no need to register at a new place and all. Acceptable price and delivery. I can't seem to remember how to calculate the area of a circle. 1mm across, is that >.75mm2? Ready to order some, but now I want to be sure. @DeMoNeye without going to deep into it, there...

£6. Something pr m? Ouch. That's quite steep. UK would be great, shorter shipping. Haven't ruled anything out just yet, perhaps it's time to find out how much I need... Thank you, Brother.
