    Flowering nutes NPK

My advise would be to steer clear of the NPK myths. If you are using a quality humus source and your soil has good cec it's more a matter of having enough, not the correct ratios. I would also read at least the first several pages the Recycled Organic Living Soil thread. Peace! P-

    Foxfarm or general organics?

This about all the time I'll spend on your post. Pretty simple, fresh is better. Reducing kelp down and reconstituting it is like the difference between tang and a real orange. All your wanna be scientist crap doesn't change that. bongsmilie P-

    Foxfarm or general organics?

I had high school chemistry, does that count? I’ll use common sense and say many of the compounds we desire do not make it through the processing procedure here. But Please enlighten me, are we getting the same things from seaweed extract as we are kelp meal? Does that make me a snob? What? You...

    Foxfarm or general organics?

Maybe we should tone down the language a little? Why I don't use stuff out of a bottle? Because companies do stupid crap like using Potassium or Sodium Hydroxide to render kelp to a black powder, add water to reconstitute it, and boom! Seaweed extract! Think the pgr's and pgh's, auxins, etc...

Hyroot, these are malted by a malting house for optimal enzymes (sunflower seeds also). Beer people are crazy about their enzyme levels. This is going to be a little experiment, we'll see how it goes. I have only been able to find enzyme levels for the specific enzymes beer brewers are looking...

    Got me some azomite..

I'm familiar with the availability issue. That's why we also use kelp meal and other inputs to make sure we have plenty of plant available micronutrients. Imo the micro nutrients that can be in short supply are more supplied by basalt and granite. Now if you want to make a mix of different...

Necessary, no, not imo. But I don't think it would hurt really. Personally I would want all my humic material to go through the worm bin if I can (thermal compost included). Only comes out better. Do you have room for something like this...

Recycled Organic Living Soil (ROLS) and No Till Thread

I have grown out less then desirable plants in the past simply cause I had nothing else to fill the space, but if you can help it, I wouldn't. Personally, with things only three weeks down the road, I'd start some new seeds. Ime when they get jacked up that early on, it either takes forever to...

    Got me some azomite..

Pretty evenly divided is subjective. Basalt has: Magnesium - 460% Sulfur - 250% Maganese - 1350% Iron Oxide - 1007% Cobalt - 143% Copper - 375% Zinc - 217% Azomite has: Molybdenum - 126% boron - I don't see on the list? Clorine - are you worried about enough of this in your soil? But to each...

    advice on my tea?

There is going to be a learning curve going from what you are doing to what I would consider an organic living soil. Imo it is not only well worth it, but inevidable if you love your plants. Start with at least the first few pages of the rols thread, learn the important of humic material and how...

NEEM OIL TO COMBAT GNATS, HARM MICROBES IN SOIL?

It is my understanding nemotodes do not make it through an act? I believe this is one of the points Tim Wilson was being critical of Elaine on. From Tim's site: I’ve received many emails from folks distraught over the fact that they found no nematodes in their ACT or that they had very few...
