    I can read.

    Yields when starting seed outside

Good, I already wasted too much time reading the free bullying you spewed about anyway.

    Yields when starting seed outside

Very much so, thanks. Each situation is different, with the perfect storm of environment and genetics huge yields are possible starting from seed outdoors. Clones don't do so well unless vegged for a time indoors first. That's about what I learned from this thread.

    Right... Just like your intellect.

    Yields when starting seed outside

I started this thread asking about outdoor yields WOW! That's impressive and massive. How long did that harvest last you, 5 years+? That would probably be enough to sustain my habit for the rest of my life!

    Yields when starting seed outside

The sun gives free energy the whole time, so it does take up space, but it just takes some water, which I'd be giving to the others right next to it anyways. Then pull it out or use it to get more free seeds, no lamps burning electricity, which comes from burning coal, splitting atoms or...

    Yields when starting seed outside

Seeds take less energy, overall, to generate usable herb. You can put it out into the soil immediately. There is no risk of transplant shock. No electricity spent to veg indoors. No special potting mix needed. No need for a dedicated space indoors. There may be a need for culling males, if...

    Yields when starting seed outside

This is the kind of info I was looking for when starting this thread. I assume you're in the northern hemisphere so that means the days are fairly short in January, right? This sort of result turns what I "know" about cannabis upside down! So, putting seed out takes out the artificial vegging...

    Yields when starting seed outside

W We shall see! I'll put one in around the mid- end of March, mid April and mid May.

    Yields when starting seed outside

I'm using 2, 7 and 15 gallon pots. Semi guerrilla? I need to be mobile in case of snoopy visitors. I'm Vegging inside with some 65 watt (I think, maybe only 23 watt can't remember) CFLs. They don't have much light or room to get very big. I think that a seed outdoor will get about as big as...

    Yields when starting seed outside

Not enough rain where I'm at. There is no shortage of bugs, gophers and birds though. I had tons of trouble in the veggie garden with insect damage but since adding my own vermicompost I haven't had nearly as much trouble. Also, neem seed meal has helped me get rid of some giant ants. At least...

    Yields when starting seed outside

Obviously I'm new to outdoor. 10lbs. was just a number to make a point. You and lots of others have answered my question satisfactorily. Long veg is necessary to produce huge poundage with a single "tree". Sow many seeds and may be able to match the poundage without a long veg is what I've...

    Yields when starting seed outside

In those pits, are they putting a vegged plant or sowing a seed? Does this only happen in northern Cali, or places like that, where the days are long in the summer so the plant has a long veg outdoors? I know there are tons of variables about soil, weather and pests... But will latitude 32 have...

    Yields when starting seed outside

Thanks for the reply. Most people, it seems, start seeds indoors and then transplant in the spring. I am wondering if there are people yielding 10 lbs. a plant when direct sowing outdoors or if there is a substantial veg time indoors first. I put out a small seedling in mid dec and it is about...

    Yields when starting seed outside

I'm wondering what type of yields people are getting when putting seeds in the ground, or pots. What dates are you putting them out? March, April or May? I'm in San diego and I am wondering when I can plant seeds and not get any re-veg, or if the days ever get long enough to have any vegetative...

    Worms!

Depends on your goal. If you just want to get rid of your fruit and veggie scraps and junk mail then you just need to add mostly the paper scraps, keep them moist and slowly add in the food. Make sure not to add so much food that it starts hot composting or stinking. Let the worms finish...

Worm questions: Do I need a separate worm bin?

I am pretty sure that they only eat microbes. If you don't over do it you can feed them just about anything organic. You just need to make sure that the fresh organic (carbon based, not necessarily certified organic) material has time to decompose without going anaerobic or heating up your bin...
