I don't know a fix because I don't know a problem. Your pH tester, as ANNOYING as it sounds, needs to be re-calibrated every 2 weeks, if not every week. I would buy a unit, with a replaceable sensor, that goes to .01 pH. I bought mine for $45, and bought a replacement sensor for $20 a year ago...

Yellow on new growth is normal, as long as it grows out to be green. This usually happens because of temp changes. Just natural plant doing it's natural thing :).
