    need advice on seeds

My first grow, several years ago, was Nirvanas Pure Power Plant. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing, book in one hand and spade in the other :) This was an indoor grow, in soil ( Botanicare + botanicare nutes ) under 400 watt mh and hps lamps. I found this to be an extemely forgiving...

    My 2012 norcal greenhouse project

Ya, thats kind of the plan I had. Plastic on the sides and sunscreen on the front and back. I will also make it so as to be able to roll up the sides for the good weather and roll it back down for the wet weather. Still up in the air on the sunscreen. Without power for a fan i will have to just...

    My 2012 norcal greenhouse project

I started construction of my greenhouse, actually more of a hothouse, as I have no power available to it, around 3 months ago. Ran out of money so finishing is put on hold for now. I intended to cover it with plastic, the thickest I can find locally, within the month. The frame is a 10 x 20...

Why does my plant look like sh#t ?

Gently break open the bud and see what the inside looks like to check for bud rot. brown, black, fuzzy, crispy, all are signs of fungal attack.

Why does my plant look like sh#t ?

I had one plant do this , although not as bad. The only thing that worked was to give it an H2O2 flushing. i used 5 ml per gal of 28% h2o2 that I picked up at the hydro store. You could just use the 3 % that you get at the drug store, although I'm not sure on the amount per gal. ( my math skill...

I am a complete noob PLEASE go easy on me

if I read that right, you will have 2 rooms that are around 7 ft. x 5.5 ft. that have a seven ft. ceiling. For your grow side you will only need to go with cfl lights, but in your flowe room you will have to have hps. 5.5 x 7 feet I would go with either 1) 1000 watt hps or 2) 600 watt lamps...

    lower leaves yellowing and dying

Definately need re-potted. Overwatering is about the most common mistake a new grower makes, along with feeding too much. I will guarentee that at least half of the posts of people looking for help on their plants have either overwatered or overfed their plants. Do not try and 'schedule' your...

How long would you stick with stunted, stress plant before giving up??

I'm not sure what that medium is, as I only use soil for my grows. But if you do want to save them I would have to agree on repotting into a good soil mix. No need to trim the roots or anything else, just repot and use only water, no nutes, and see what happens.

    cmh lamps? anyone use them?

I am comming up on time to replace my hps lamps and was wondering if anybody has tried the CMH lamps? from what I have read they are made by GE and Philips and have a wider spectrum than the hps lamps. They claim that the useful lifespan is longer as well as they don't degrade like the hps lamps...

    Anybody try cmh lamps?

I'm comming up on time to change out my hps (400 watt ) lamps and I was thinking of switching over to cmh lamps. Has anybody tried them yet and what kind of results did you get out of them? From what I have read they have a better light spectrum and the price is comparable to standard hps lamps...

    CMH lamps? anybody use them?

Its comming up on time to replace my 400 watt hps lamps and I was wondering if anybody had tried the ceramic metal hylide lamps? I believe that GE and Philips both manufacture them and from what I have read they have a better spectrum than the standard hps lamps. A comparison grow would be an...

    Help

two or three days in the shade should harden them sufficiantly. Never give nutes to a plant as young as that one is if planted in soil. It has barely established a good root system and gets plenty of nutriants from the soil for its needs. I personally harden mine for a good week before I put...

    Screw the good ol' day's....

I do remember the 60's and 70's ( yes, I was there ) I'm not sure of the years, but I believe it was the late 60's when The Alcapolco Gold strain hit the west coast. I swear that it was the only strain that I had ever had halucinations with. Later, the stuff that they sold as A.Gold wasn't...

    Strictly molasses

molassas only feeds the bacteria in the soil which in turn feed the plant. It will not by itself feed your plant. If low on cash check out home depot or wall mart for ferts that will work just as well as ADV puts out. Plant food labeled as tomatoe feed, or african violet feed works very well...

Need help, white widow 4 1/2 weeks flowering!!

White widow does not like much in the way of nutes. When I grew it I had to feed it only 1/2 the recomended ferts. That said, its natural for the plant to rob the lower fan leaves of nutes as it enters the final phase of its life. It does this so as to place all available support to the flowers...

    $$$Cash Crop$$$

I grew Nirvana's PPP for several years, both indoor and outdoor. Very good producer with a very decent smoke to it. Indoors, letting them get to around 18 inches befor switching to 12/12 I harvested around 3 ounces per plant. Grown in soil, 5 gal pots under 400 watt hps. Very forgiving, making...

We've got to prove we're adults now.aka I lerned it by waching you...Babysas' Hill

I tried blackberry Kush last year on my outdoor garden, with mixed results. I found the branches tended to be wimpy and would tend to break at the slightest disterbance. The smoke was excellent, but I would reserve it for an indoor grow. The rest of your lineup looks good to me. The Blue dream...

    Having Troubles With Rooting Cuttings...STILL!!!!

I had problems when I first started taking cuttings. I tried all the above mentioned ways of taking clones including building a cloner. I am of the belief that clones, directly into a decent soil, with clonex rooting hormone, is the easiest way I can do it. The secret I have discovered is in...

Browning, yellowing, bottom leaves, moving up *PICS*

I had a similiar problem, although I was growing in soil. For some reason the plants where unable to feed themselves through the roots and where canabalizing the lower leaves for the nutes to survive. This worked its way up, progressing upward through the plant until all the fan leaves finally...

Any idea what could be wrong here??

I've stopped using Fox Farm O.F. due to it being a bit hot for some plants, especially younger plants. It looks like a slight amount of nute burn could be the culprit. If it doesn't get any worse, don't worry too much, just back off of any feeding for a bit and see it that helps. Also 2000 watts...
