    lost!!

Without picts my guess would be lighting. CFL's cannot penetrate very far into the foliage. How large are they? Do you let the medium (soil) dry out befor watering again?

    disease or deficiency

This may be way off track, but I had a problem somewhat the same as yours. Have you checked the roots on one of the affected plants for discoloration? I ended up using a copper based anti fungal sray, multiple applications. Then I gave my plants a H2O2 flush. the idea behind this was that...

BJ's 38 degree NorCal backyard grow-The trials and tribulations of a moron

"She'll be transplanted in another week or so. I ran out of soil (again!). Can I put her in straight earth castings? That's bout all I got at this point. " No. Castings are too dense and retain water much to much. It needs to be mixed with other stuff. If left by itself it gets hard and soupy...

    Over watering? please help

I stoped using fox farm Ocean Forest for my young plants due to high N in the soil. I noticed virtually all of my seedlings getting nute burn. I still use it for transplanting into when they get older as they can handle the higher N at that stage.

BJ's 38 degree NorCal backyard grow-The trials and tribulations of a moron

I'd be very wary of putting them out so early, due to them flowering on you. I know they will re-veg but does't that take productive time away from them and reduce yeilds? I was of the opinion that a solid 14 hrs of daylight is needed to prevent that, as well as adjusting the photoperiod of the...

    Soil grow potential root rot?

hydro stores sell a 29% solution of h2o2. I use a 5 ml. to 1 gal water and flush with it. then I let the soil go dry, and use a earthworm tea to add the good microbes back to the soil on the next water.

    H-e-l-p please!!

If those are white widow, then over feeding is a real possiblity. I noticed that ww needs and tolerates, much less in the way of nutes than other strains I've grown. Check the heat, how close are the lamps? If you can, gently remove one of the plants from the pot and check the roots, what color...

    Lock out, burn, or defeciency????

have you checked the condition of the roots? I had a similar problem, turned out to be pythium fungas ( root rot ) I treated with H2O2 and managed to save them. If the roots are not a nice bright white, then its a root fungas.

I'm wondering if anybody has grown these befor as I am trying to figure out when to flip them to 12/12. What I need to know is how much stretch in 12/12 I can expect? If anybody has grown them befor...

    Ugh!!

I leave my seedlings in their dixie cups until the root mass pretty much fills the soil. Aprox. 3 weeks. DoNot Feed! Do Not Overwater!! The soil should be just damp, Not Wet!!. You want the seedlings to send out roots looking for water, not sitting in water. Usully when you see a root sticking...

    Root rot or unbalanced ph?

A sure sign of root rot is discolored roots. If they are brown or tan, then it is Pythium fungas or one of the several other fungasas that are called root rot. One thing I should have mentioned is that if you treat with Hydrogen Peroxide is that you should get the 'food grade' or the stuff they...

    Stunted growth for TOO LONG??????

Never bring in dirt from outside, only use good quality potting soil as it has been streilized and is pathogen free. There are just too many nasties that you can bring in that will damage or kill your grow. That said. let the soil dry out and then carefully remove the plant from the pot and...

cloning problems , cuts not rooting

could be your water. Is it city water with clorine? City water is known to change as they mess with the clorine content, as well as floride.34 days is much too long for any strain. If my clones don't show roots in a matter of two to three weeks I trash them and start over. Genetics does play a...

    advice on my grow!

I wouldn't worry overmuch. The rest of the plants look ok. You haven't fed them any nutes have you? they are much to young for feeding at this point. Might have been the result of splashing some water on them. If it starts to get worse then you need to look at such things as temps, bugs in the...
