Fabric pot vs Air vs Regular

You shouldn't have ANY root circling with a fabric pot. The big bonus they give is air pruning & extra O2 for the root tips. Is your media draining well? Did you keep them elevated out of drainage?

Fabric pot vs Air vs Regular

I've got fabric, I like them, Renfro is right, humidity does spike after watering, but my climate needs humidity & I have a controller. I haven't had any issues with them moving or flopping after filling them. There are huge differences in brand/ material.

    Floating SIP wetlands

Maybe get one of those NPK test kits & test the peat in the bottom? If you can guarantee O2 from a root mass above the waterline, micronutrients from your container soil, you really should be able to set it & forget it. Maybe put some support up early?

    Floating SIP wetlands

I haven't heard of it, but I would love to see it! keep in mind most swamps have very poor oxygen levels, might want to make sure some of the root mass is above the water.

Man, sounds like you were in SWEET shop! I've never had those kinda resources...I shopped around for everything I bought, I don't think I broke the bank here, and there's a total of 1920W of LED side lighting, not 1000W I'll do a price breakdown over today & tomorrow for y'all.

Okay, so I'm SUPER happy with this build. Puts out a good 45k lux in a very good spread. This crushes my 600w hid overhead. Not really close to 1000w HID, but they're only 320W!! One quick thing is I had to move the power supply as noted by the one I'm touching. The bus bars did not spread...

You were dealing with a whole different animal. Cast aluminum is a alloy that doesn't weld as easily, and is porous. This means that all that oil in that engine is BURIED up in that thing. What's the biggest part of welding AL? Cleanliness. Cast is annoying to weld, I just OA or tig braze...

I found these the other day, I have them on order and they're a week or two out. I'll retrofit them in when I get them, but it will make adjusting the drivers a breeze! https://www.ebay.com/itm/333257535042

Cobshop, the trick to welding aluminum is prep & practice. The joint should be clean enough for an open heart surgery! I use acetone to remove any grease or oils, then use a stainless steel brush to take off the aluminum oxide layer. And I consider myself a hobbyist welder, I'm no where near...

So here's the power harness, gonna have about 4A running at 240VAC. Connectors are aviation connectors rated for 10A @250V, this is just to keep open slots on my power box. I'm much happier running higher voltage over distance. I know the line loss would probably be negligible, but I'm anal...

    Drainage

There's a trick to it ;) grab a 5 gallon bucket or something else with a lid, smoke a hole in the lid big enough for the Dyson hose, duct tape it in, smoke another hole in the lid for a garden hose or whatever you can wrassle up. The second hose will suck up water but your Dyson will be fine...

Do you have a vacuum? A shop vac would be better but you can suck out the runoff.

Since you said positive, I'm assuming your talking on the DC side, 24VDC won't shock you. I think the cutoff for low voltage DC needing grounding is 50v. I may be wrong but I'd have to look up code to be sure.

So I got a bit more done, here i have a panel with all holes drilled & tapped, then a panel with the strips installed with thermal compound & the driver on the back, quick connector for power on the side there. I got the power wires made up for connecting the panels to 240VAC, but I forgot to...

Layout is done, all center punched too. I'm gonna call it a night as far as working goes. I'm not going to remote mount, I dont like the idea of low voltage DC transferring power over any distance.
