    Michigan outdoor

I used to work with a guy whose son lived in Montana. The son asked the father(an equipment operator) to dig him a large hole on his property. It was about 20 feet square and ten feet deep. The son covered it with greenhouse fabric and a layer of military camo fabric. He pulled good crops out of...

    Outdoor Grow 2014

Try posting 3 or four pix at a time. It helps us point out problems. Several pix show leaves that seem to have been nibbled on, possibly by bud worms. Time to get some Bt and SPRAY!

Agreed! The wire in counterproductive. The best cage wire is 6" x 6" remesh. It is strong to provide support but the large spacing allows you to reach through to adjust the branches. Better to do without than use the small guage chicken wire.

    Plant wilted and dying(opinions please)

Your foliage lacks water. Figuring out WHY is the hard part. A gopher could be dining on the roots. Two buckets might just not be enough. It isn't too much ferttilizer. The tips would be the first to wilt. If you can visit her several times a day, and misting the entire plant might give you a...

Can police find someone growing through text messages??

Anything is possible in this growing police state. We've chosen to live our lives without stressing over it. The DEA, FBI and local law enforcement know where we live. They know what we do. We hashed things out. Found allies who have the clout(think AMA) to embarrass those who abuse their powers...

JUST WONDERING IF I SUPER CROPPED HER RIGHT

My plants have far outstripped my expectations both inside my greenhouses and out. I've supercropped about 200 branches so far to keep them from rubbing the ceilings in the greenhouses. Left alone they will form a huge knot of buds that are nearly impossible to trim. These knots can harbor mold...

    White widow help

I'm growing two White Widows this year. It is a potent strain that always provides a bunch and a punch. Your plants are suffering from grower error. Their best chance at survival is for you to water them, and nothing else for a week or two. Supercropping requires a demonstration and experience...

    Removing Branches and Pinching

The 'pinching' is usually called 'supercropping'. It can be beneficial, but Low Stress Training(LST) is preferable, but requires training earlier. I let my plants get 3 feet tall in one gallon pots. When I plant them into the ground, I tilt each plant toward the North, giving the plant a greater...

I strongly recommend you make the effort to get more water to your girls. Wilting REALLY hurts yield. Doing without water hurts them as much as it would us. Try going without water for four days and see how you feel. NO! Don't try it. It could very well could kill you, as it can them.

Is 5ph too low for soil?

That's pretty low. Yes, I'd try the lime. How are your plants doing? Before going too far, I'd get another meter, and double check your results. Those numbers are pretty extreme.

    Quick question on maxsea

As I recall, my post, regarding adding carbs to your nutrient mix, stated that it isn't necessary or beneficial unless the plant is starved for sugars. I grow my plants in raised beds that get large helpings of mulch/compost each season. Bacteria and earthworms convert this to a plentiful...

Any suggestions strains should I buy for South Asian outdoor grow

I received an oz. of Thai Stick in '75. In one tiny bud on one stick were 7 seeds. I didn't sprout them until '84. Only one female came about, and I didn't keep a boy. I cloned that one amazing girl for eleven seasons. The sun leaves were tiny, averaging less than three inches across, with 7...

Look for landrace Asian Sativas. There are some that are called 'Thai Stick'. I've seen them in breeder catalogs.

    P.E.T.C.

A so called expert, back in the 80s(can't remember his name) recommended whacking your plants with a stick, weekly, to piss them off so they'd grow faster. (This is I think a carryover from the same method used on tomato plants. Stressing tomatoes will encourage fruit set. Withholding water is...

Too late to get benefits of transplanting?

Agreed, it can be heavy. If the OP wants to transplant, let the soil dry as much as possible without wilting. This should get the total weight down to around 50 or sixty pounds. I've done this with a little planning. Two people should have no problem.

    Industrial hemp

I've been saying for years I'll go nuts on anyone who plants industrial hemp west of the Rockies. I breed my weed, and Hemp pollen would totally destroy my efforts to grow for seed. Most years, I find a a dozen or more seeds in my buds from growers up wind. I can't imagine what would happen with...
