It's because when you cut the leaves below those nodes, they no longer have the support from them, so they start strengthening their bases to be able to support themselves.

I'm hoping this is one of them strains that the terpenes don't show till after curing, as now they're starting to smell a bit like hay/grass.. But alongside all that the resin production is unbelievable!

Could be due to over/under watering or just been watered. Also could possibly be nitrogen toxicity, if your leaves are waxy and hard then that's your answer.

My pots smell normal, my soil itself smells normal, the runoff water also smells normal, but it was almost brown in color, now after the flush she's getting almost as clear as what's going in.
