    Root

Don't try to over feed or water. Let the plant naturally try to regrow the roots. I'm not sure if a rooting hormone will help at this point. The baby will take food from its current leaves. If no roots grow back in by the time it eats its leaves it may die. Do not touch it again and leave the...

    Twenty20 mendocino

I'm giving Twenty20 one more go. I have 5 Bad Girl, 6 of the new Superwreck and 7 Sparklets all just popped. The Sparklets are (Snowcaine x The Spice) x Girl Crush. So far the best part is I only lost 1 seed out of 19. The other 18 are all out of their shells and healthy looking. I'll try to...

    Seedlys

Seedly's was a new website that Heisen and a few other people made when Heisen went solo from Greenpoint Seeds. Heisen sent Seedly's most of his stock and they started selling online. During this time Gu and Heisen got together and worked out their shit. Heisen went back to work for...

    Problem in coco coir

My plants looked exactly the same when I used pre bagged coco. I could not figure the problem out and gave up after 3 tries. Went back to a soil-less mix.

    Thrips Citric Acid

Seems like everyone is getting their bug stuff taken care of. Just remember you only win the battles. The bugs win the wars. We have proven that they come from the mediums and continue to come out of the medium weeks after you wet the soil. Keep soaking the soil surfaces and spraying the leaves...

I'm not topping my plants this time

I have tried many different ways and the no topping method indoors gives you a nice fat cola up top for sure. I do not use that method tho. I go for 4 to 6 smaller colas. My reason for this is to get many big top buds from 1 plant instead of 1 giant bud and lots of small ones. Consumers get the...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

IPM is for the soil. You can use it all of flower. I spray the top of the soil with IPM right before I feed. This way the the water will run down the sides and coat any bugs with the IPM. Capt Jacks is for spraying. Do not spray after 2 weeks in flower. It will burn the hairs on the buds. You...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

I explained in a previous post what to do before using your medium to kill larvae and eggs. Athena IPM or Lost Coast Plant Therapy (very expensive) are the handful of insecticides that you can use to do a soil soak.

What kind of bug is this

I see what you mean but the leaves definitely have thrip damage. They could be a bigger species of thrip tho. I also had the tiny custard yellow ones that you mentioned. Those are definitely not the same but the damage is very similar.

Capt. Jacks Dead Bug Brew is best for spraying thrips. Good luck.

Star, you can't keep the IPM in the medium for more than 1 hour if a plant is in the medium. Athena has directions for it. The exact directions are: 1) Soak the medium with water until run off. Vac. This makes the root zone wet so it doesn't absorb too much IPM. 2) Soak the medium with IPM...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

Problem solved for you maybe. Problem not solved for others as you can see by all the evidence above. Read Star Dog's posts and you see the proof right there. Bugs coming out of thin air? Nope. It's an ongoing battle throughout the whole grow.

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

We have our answer. Now how to stop it. What do we do as soil users? I don't think it matters what medium we use. The eggs are in there already. Either companies are not doing what they are saying or the bugs are getting in there later and laying eggs. This is what my hydro store guy says...

    Fungus gnat experiment #569

Good deal man. I still am searching for where these bugs come from and where they like to hang out. I'm almost 100% sure that they come from the soil. Most likely in egg form. They hatch, and if they are close enough to the bottom, top or sides of the dirt in the pot, they crawl out. I find...

    Rusting leafs?

Dude, you test your ppm when you make your food. When you mix your nutes into the water you test the ppm to make sure it is good enough to feed your plants. Then you test your ph. I have no clue who told you to test your runoff ppms. I have no clue who told you to flush. AND now it's the...
