    Which Way To Move Air

its not a bad question at all.... look at your pc case... you have fans on the front that pull air in and fans on the back that pull air out... your grow room/lights are the same... pull cool air into the room, then pull the hot air out...

    Grow Room

Sounds good. Lowes or Home depot sell sheets of reflective foam insulation for about $9 for a 8'x4' section. We are actually going to be using that for our attic grow... They differ in thickness and are very lightweight.

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

Yah the attic will be insulated and walled off. Also will have one of the window a/c units put in one of the walls to deal with the summer heat. Don't have much room to run air cooled lights (no room for the ducting) so we're having to pump in nice cold air to the entire room...

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

The space is 10' long, 7' wide, and only 3' tall. Having the plants sitting 15" from the ground and having the bottom of the light 36" from the ground means I can only grow about 18" tall plants (don't wanna touch the lights). If I install a light rail/mover and hang the reflector from that then...

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

Right now we veg under 400w MH lamps... got 15 plants that are 2 feet tall each under one lamp. Since the attic grow will have a lot smaller plants I'm thinking we can fit 27 of them under one lamp. These pictures were from 2 weeks ago so they were smaller then:

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

Thanks for the advice. The setup we use to use, we didn't have to do any LSTing or topping, etc. We just let them do their thing cause we had plenty of space. So take large clones, wait about 2-4 weeks til they all get decent size roots. Then place them in the flowering tables. The tables...

    2000watt electrical ?

If the ballasts are magnetic, then each of the 1000w systems pulls about 9amps. So just the lights pull more than half the power ran to the room. Usually there are two rooms per breaker (usually 30amps). So as long as nothing is running in the other room attached to that same breaker and the...

    non closet growers

Last yr, our grows were around 100-150 plants in one room with 5 - 1000w HPS systems. And the veg/mother room had 3 - 400w MH systems. Electricity bill was around $600-$700/month...

Need CFL grow light fixture help!

^ His setup is perfect for what you are looking for. Use more of the smaller lamps (23w). That way you cover more space and they can be really close to the plant.

    first time grower, need help!!

Yah tin foil produces hot spots. Get some mylar and lay it flat. A small 250w or 400w HPS would be a good start. Can also get a 400w MH Conversion bulb so you can use the same ballast for both bulbs. We use General Hydroponics nutes (Florabloom, floramicro, floragro) they get expensive in large...

    revese osmosis setup

We have a three stage system in the laundry room and it takes about 8 hours to fill a 32 gallon reservoir. The time is long but it removes everything from the water. Literally 0 PPM. They come with a standard 1/4" tubing that's about 3' long. You can buy rolls of 1/4" tubing from Lowes or Home...

Need CFL grow light fixture help!

The base type of that lamp is standard medium so it fits all standard sockets. Only when you get higher CFL's does it switch to a mogul socket (which most grow reflectors use). Like grower001 said, build your own reflectors with standard lamp holders (about $1.50 each at Lowes or Home Depot)

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

Don't have room for light rails. The bottom of the rafters is three feet from the floor. The plants will be sitting on top of a 15" reservoir. The lights will be placed inbetween each rafter so the bottom of the light (cause the reflectors are about 7" tall) will be even with the bottom of the...

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

Forgot to mention that each section would hold either one 400w lamp or two 150w lamps. Both on chains so they can be raised and lowered. Doing a SOG hydro system (pvc piping similiar to stinkbud system) Going to keep the plants short to fit them all in. 27 plants per table, with two tables...

    Attic Grow Room Light Question

We are doing a small attic grow. The over all area is 10'X7' which is nice, but the height is only 3' tall at the tallest point (which is 52" long). The space between the rafters is 22" and this is where the lights will be going. Now the question is what kind of lights to go with. Original...
