I have them in soil. Can it even be done or do I have to start new.

Brand new to this growing thing, and i'm thinking about trying to make a hydro set-up. I have four plants growing pretty good,but i want to transplant to the hydro unit.how can i do this without killing the plants. Thanks in advance for advice.
