Yep, I'd say this is an OK spot for a grow.

2012 Guerilla Grow -- Fruit Salad Mix in SoCal

Yep, I hear ya, Hank. Definitely advantages and disadvantages each way. Outdoor seems like a lot more work to me (with all the hiking...and having to keep it concealed, battling critters, etc), but I never had an indoor space that could accommodate this many plants, of this size. I'm hooked on...

2012 Guerilla Grow -- Fruit Salad Mix in SoCal

You're absolutely right, these things stand out like a sore thumb against the native plants surrounding them. Fortunately, it's nearly impossible for anyone else to get to this area by foot. But for sure, I've been a little worried about police choppers. I tried to plant close to the few trees...

2012 Guerilla Grow -- Fruit Salad Mix in SoCal

Hey guys- Not much new happening here. Finally got the Barney's Red Cherry Berry repotted (into a 7-gal SquareRoot "smartpot") and put in place in the field. Now I only have a Pineapple Gum left to put in place and that'll be it for my 2012 outdoor grow. Eleven plants in all. Got clones of a...

pot size/ shape please help asap

I have a little experiment going on right now with various pot/growbag sizes (from 3 gallon up to 10 gallon). I'm trying both black plastic pots and a few "smart-pot" type (cloth) pots. Check out my thread: https://www.rollitup.org/outdoor-growing/541462-2012-guerilla-grow-fruit-salad.html I'm...

2012 Guerilla Grow -- Fruit Salad Mix in SoCal

Just north of San Diego. Yeah, there's a lot of space like that around here. This area happens to be on the side of a mountain, so it's a bit of of a climb, but not too bad. It's close enough to my house that I can check on my girls daily. Last year I grew further away, so I could only visit...

First time outdoor grower in need of some help

Ah ha. I would stay away from the Osmocote (or any other "time-release" fertilizers). They tend to release nutrients unevenly and can burn or undernourish plants. Since the plants were started in straight Perlite, you might think about mixing in more Perlite to whatever soil mix you're using...

First time outdoor grower in need of some help

Yeah, I'm not sure what OC+ is (some kind of fertilizer for hydroponics?), but I do think going from Perlite to that soil mix would be a significant shock for your plant. Give it some time (and water only when necessary), and I think it'll start looking better. Personally, I prefer Roots...

    emergency!

Bad dog. BAD DOG! It doesn't look that bad to me. Is the pot itself torn? The plant looks almost intact in that pic. If it were me, I'd take a few cuttings anyway...but if the pot isn't ruined, just keep going with it. If it IS torn, you could probably repot successfully.

Ice and Hindu Kush, Early outdoor budding???

I have a DP Strawberry Cough that started flowering at the end of May. Oddly enough, its sister (from the same pack of seeds) didn't start flowering until three weeks later AND the rooted cuttings I took from the early flowering plant immediately reverted to veg once I put them outdoors (about...

First time outdoor grower in need of some help

Depending on what the original "soil-less mix" they were growing in before, it could be a bit of a shock moving them into the current soil mix. I would just let them be for a while. No watering, no pesticides, no additional fertilizers, etc. Also, if you're using tap water, you probably don't...

2012 Guerilla Grow -- Fruit Salad Mix in SoCal

Been a while since I posted here. I currently have nine plants in the field right now -- started several months ago using feminized seeds: G13 Labs Blueberry Gum (2 ea), Dutch Passion Strawberry Cough (2 ea), G13 Labs Pineapple Express (1 ea), Paradise Seeds White Berry (1 ea), Breeder's Choice...

First guerilla grow attempt...variety of Attitude fem freebies

Yeah, thanks for the tips. I'm just estimating based on the breeders' suggested flowering times...but I've got my scope out these days when I visit 'em, and I'm considering taking branches off at different times once I get into October...that way if the rippers find a plant, I'll at least...

I hear ya, I'm gettin a little paranoid about rippers after the past week. Good luck with yours...looks like I've got 4-5 more weeks myself.

First guerilla grow attempt...variety of Attitude fem freebies

OK, we're about 5-6 weeks into flowering at this point. The remaining five girls are still in their places, and looking pretty good. Disappointed with the looks of the Dinafem BuKu, it's quite short and leafy. From what I've read here, I probably shouldn't have topped it. But it DID start out...

First guerilla grow attempt...variety of Attitude fem freebies

Someone ripped my Emerald Jack within the last few days. The buds looked so good on this one, I was really looking forward to smoking it. Now I won't even get a chance to taste it. I moved my BuKu (which was in the same area) on Monday, and the EJ was fine. In hindsight, I probly shoulda left...
