Damn that thing started preflower quick, flowering nutes help speed that process up. Its prob just a little to much N, mine had the same issue really bright new growth and curled tips (also known as claw shaped) but are doing perfectly fine. I believe its a non issue on gl on the rest of your grow.

yes Cfls do great for veg, 58 w is a big CFL too, but you are running over 400 w aleady. If you can afford the HPS i would go with it, you never know you may move and be able to use it for a bigger area. And the bud density compared to CFL has to be worth the change alone. And that amnesia sure...
