Purple Underside Leaves And Stem On Tomato Seedling.

that sucker is starving. tomatoes need calcium, so you needed to be basifying instead of acidifying. at certain pH's some nutes aren't readily available to the plant. start feeding with your nutes at full strength. then switch to a more potent formulation ie. 13-13-13 at 300ppm to grow on...

Does "Solarizing" Soil Work To Reduce Unwanted Weeds?

the weeds you listed won't be controlled well with solarization. they are all hot weather plants. the nutsedge also reproduces with seeds and little potato like roots called nutlets. all the seeds can stay dormant for 10's of years if need be. the the goose grass can be controlled the most, but...

    Tomato Blossom Rot Problem

blossom end rot is most definetely not caused by uneven watering. uneven watering causes cracking, splitting and 'hard shoulders'. calcium deficiency is the culprit. you need a complete fertilizer early on in flowering and in initial fruit developmet in order to prevent this. think of it as a...

    Dwarf Tophat Blueberry

supposedly you are able to grow them in a pot on your patio, but i am not exactly sure that would be your best bet. they do like acidity so use amendments to make your soil acidic (5.5-6.5) and make sure to use some sand and feed with an acidic feed such as miracle-grow for azaleas. they are...
