    Hi Folks I've set up an entire bedroom for a grow. The last piece of the puzzle is lightproofing the door. I've removed the door from the hinges and hung up black mylar with a megalux instadoor zipper down the middle I have 6" ducting going through it at the top and 4" ducting at the bottom...

    i'm sure digital dimmable is the type of ballast you'll need to run a high powered light i use a standard compact ballast - works fine for me hps bulbs emit the most light (lumens) but also emit the most heat so you will need to vent out the stale hot air a phresh filter would come in handy...

    thanks for the advice i forgot to mention the loft/attic has a window. i could keep this open constantly does this change anything? if not, how about using it as an intake area, ducting into the grow room from a fan mounted near the openwindow? would it then be ok to house the ballasts...

    pvc pipes or wood for the frame suspended from the ceiling by link chains eye hooks around the top of the frame chicken wire or some kind of mesh tied through the hooks how many plants and what size area you working with?

    1 - i'd say water 200-250ml every day 2 - minimum 6" 3 - depends on the strain but generally 16/8 - 20/4 is good

    fan on - half hour after lights on fan off - 1 hour after lights off regulates the temps just right for me

    secret jardin and budbox are great. the cheap ones on ebay are good enough plan out your grow, decide on lights, fans, filters, intakes etc then buy the tent a tent is the first thing to go up, but its the last thing i buy

    flat white matt paint is excellent 75 day, 70 night also excellent you can do sooo much with soil its unreal - add clay pebbles, perlite, bat guano, coco, worm castings etc

    Get back on schedule. Make sure it doesn't happen again. They will be fine I had a power cut for 2 days once, they all recovered within a few days

    I'm planning a grow without a tent and need some advice Can I "simply" drill into a ceiling joist, insert a screw hook and hang? Or is it better to nail a 2x2 along the ceiling joists from wall to wall, insert hooks into the 2x2 and then hang from there? I'll be hanging 3 euro reflectors, a 6"...
