Running at 1000w, my plants showed signs of heat stress. Switching off every day from 600 to 1000 for the last couple days. will this effect the plants in a negative way? Flipped to 12/12 13 days ago. Soil grow, 5g pots, 2 dimmable ballasts with 1000w hps bulbs.

Do you at least have a fan in there? You don't want to get all the way into late in flower and get mold or powdery mildew. I would make sure you at least have a small fan moving the air around. And maybe keep your closet cracked open a bit to let some air escape.

If they are curling like a canoe it usually means their too hot. Try moving the lights up. I had that issue in veg and after moving the lights up it corrected itself.

Ok cool thank you! I have 12 in a 8'x4'x6' tent so I have some room so I was planning on supercropping them to help spread them out to help with light penetration. When is the best time to supercrop? Should I do it during veg or right before I flip to flower?
