Hey everybody! Sorry for the hiatus, enjoyed a wonderful family vacation. Quick update this week, round 2 of veg has started. It's around 10 days in. I do have a runt in this litter, oh well. The first round is about 12 days into flower, they get stripped to just the top growth on day 1. Canopy...

Hell yeah! So far, so good still. This first batch went in to flower but I'm on vacation, do no updates this week. Let's hope the automation does it's job!

I moved them into flower this evening. I did not get trays built in flower yet, so drip pans it is. Still working on dialing the automation for feeds. Here's some rootporn from the event.

End of Week 4. Dry fitting manifold rail I built to automate veg for the second test batch. I have seen some incredible growth in this system! They will be put in flower in a day or so, I just have to clean and sanitize.

Some pots have had roots coming out of the bottom since about day 13. I will be running them all the way in just the pot pros. This cut finishes in about 56 days of flower, bringing us to around 84 days total from rooted clone to harvest.

End of Week 3 update. This tray is looking great! One more week until we get to see what this combination does in flower.

They are indeed designed for maximum drainage with coco. I don't have drain fittings installed on these trays at the moment, I use a shop vac to pick up the run off. The only time I've noticed a significant mess with these pots, as far as coco coming out the bottom, is on the initial hydration.

In reference to what part of the system? All of it, or just one individual component? The pots have plenty of open space on the bottom for roots to come. The caps would probably be a bit small for a single plant in that size container. Now that you clarified, these are probably too small, but...

It is pretty much a sea of green system, though you can grow trees if you stack them on slabs or larger pots.

End of Week 2 update! They are now starting to show some signs of stress from heavy feeding. Apparently, the example Floraflex uses is double the recommended dose. Cut back to 2 grams per gal of each, V1 & V2. Some pots have roots coming through the bottom already.

Thanks for checking this thread out! I definitely encourage using this system if you're already familiar with how small pots work. I'm back with the end of week 1 update. Let's jump right into it. So I hand watered each pot 500ml per feeding, and I did this every other day for the first week...

Yes, fabric pots, ie smart pots, exactly as the name implies. Brand of nutrients isn't as important as your understanding of the how/why of the individual elements. I can't comment on super soil as I've grown exclusively with coco coir.

If you feel like you're ready, the best way to learn is to do it. Just don't be discouraged if you have some stumbles along the way, it's all part of learning.
