It will work, 10/14, 11/13, 12/12 and 13+/10+.
Indoors I start at 24, then 12/12 for a while then I increase the time for lights on to 13 or 13.5 hours for a little over half the flowering time.
It doesn't hurt the power bill that much and it does seem to help yield significantly. It also helps with the ambient temperature of our house in the winter. We dump some of the air from the mh and hps into the basement and some to the garage. I should also mention that my lights are on at night to help with heating,when it's coldest, during the winter. I grow outdoors in the summer.
