10 plant in 4x8 tent under 2 viparspectra 1200

I will be growing 5 blue dreem and 5 og kush in soil ,I will scrog The whole tent
and train them, but I am wondering should i use 7 gallon smart pot or just 5 ?

Personally I would go with 4 plants each half if your going to do a proper scrog, it will be easier to train due to the symmetry, each plant having 2x2 to fill. Pick the best 4 of each.

To answer your question, 7gal will do well. Especially if plastic pots and not fabric. I use 5gal fabric in that same space and never had reason to think it wasn't enough, suited my watering habits. But 7gal will be great too. Both will work well.

I have two of these from my first grow. Actual draw is 527 but honestly I’d say that it would take 4 to light a 4x8. They are not bad lights, they perform really well for veg. I just don’t think you can get around the cost of $1400-$1600 to light a 4x8 with LEDs unless you diy. Anyways, my advice would be to run 5 gallon pots and not use the entire tent. Maybe use 4x6 and have the extra room to move around.

I ran 2x viparspectra 1200s in a 5x9 with a 4x8 flood tray, worked fine.
