1000w hps lamp in 600w ballast. Proof.

So today I switched my 600w hps lamps with 1000w hps lamps in a 600w ballast. Took a watt reading with superlumens (110%) and it was bang on.

Proof of what? That a 600w ballast wont run a 1000w lamp at 1000w? Or that a 1000w lamp run at 600w wont put out the wavelengths or lumins a 600w lamp would in the correct ballast?

why would he burn the house down the 1000w lamp is being under driven?

I can comprehend text, Luke. A lamp is a bulb or light fixture. A ballast is a ballast.

thats right. He isnt using a 600w lamp in a 1000 ballast.

I still want to know what he is proving?

Nothing I would do and I read over and over that the light spectrum won't be on
