103 degrees help a brotha out

You could cut a hole in the shed and get a couple cheap box fans one to pull cold air in and the other to push warm air out, I think that would be your best bet. If for some reason your ac unit doesn't work out.

That's the plan don'tcough but until I had the money to get an ac unit. There was no point because I wouldn't be able to keep it cool. But that's my exact plan ill have some pic of it tonite. Btw I appreciate evryonecoming together with all there experiences and info. Love the support

Now you're gunna have to worry about humidity rofl..

Luckily my 1k BTU AC is also a dehumidifier ;)

Of course this is all based on my theory that window units up humidity.. Which I'm about 80% sure of

Not to mention the venting required on that thing

I can't wait to see this window unit on the side of the shed :D. Do you have enough power in there for it or do you need to run extension?
My temps have been high the entire flowering period so it seems they are used to it, no signs of stress or anything. The buds are getting real fat now with 2 weeks left.

I have a whole wall outlet in my shed so it'll be fine plenty of power might be ale to lose 5 fans as well lol thanks for the encouragement void hooooowever i think we got this gotta b better than before. That's what's up chiceh feel free to post some pic on the thread man love to see em lol might show my now sad ass plant as well after done with project. Wish me luck

an ac is a dehumidifier, it will not add humidity, its impossible in how they are designed.

You've obviously never heard of evaporative coolers..

The reason I think window units add humidity is because I've heard it mentioned by elite growers, people I can put faces to names to and whose opinion I trust.

What do you mean by whole wall outlet? If you have lights, fans etc going you should check to see if you are not going to blow it with adding the AC. You still need the fans btw. I have a dedicated breaker panel and outlets for my shit so I don't mess with the rest of the house.

an ac and an evaporative cooler are completely different things. try and look it up before you state how sure you are about something based on what somebody told you. not trying to be ugly about it, it just makes you look stupid. opinions are like assholes, everyone has one. but facts are facts. know your facts and then decide how much you trust someomes word.

Evaporative coolers are air conditioners.. they're most commonly referred to as portable or swamp coolers thus called PS or SC or even EC, technically they are still classed as an air conditioning unit.

I never said they were the exact same thing however.

Think what you want, fact is I didn't tell you to look it up or post evidence, which you did neither to back your claim. If you want to prove something then prove it, otherwise you're just going to be made an example of when I correct your information from my experience

a air conditioner removes water from the air, an evap cooler adds water to the air. yes the both cool, but evap coolers are much better for western us like az. you stated window/wall ac add moisture, where do you think the water running out the back comes from. it comes from the air it is cooling, thus acting as a dehumidifier.

Why don't you go back and read my original post, I never said I knew window units increase humidity, just that I think they do. That's still my thought. Our debate is fine, but it's going to be my idea vs. yours until one of us puts up some hard evidence. Btw I deleted your lolololololol post, let's keep the debate informative.

there is no debating someone that refuses to face simple common sense. if you had the most basic understanding of how an ac works you would get it. no need to post links to this and that. i just dont like to see people on here get bad info from someone who gets it second hand. i know ac, i installed my latest minisplit muself. i get how they work.

Im having same heat issues on my veg side! I run a split room. I have a 8000 btu a/c on my flower side. Temps are a lovely 74 degrees! Veg side....Not so much! More like 95!!! How can I fix this? More fans? Another a/c for my veg side?? Help me out RIU!

i just finished my new veg/clone room and it shares the interior wall with my flower room. veg is 5x10 and flower is 6x10. i installed a 12"x12" vent in the bottom and cut a 6" hole in top corner. i have a vortex 6" fan on a speed controller plugged into a temp controller in veg that circulates back to flower, creating great air flow.. been staying at a perfect 77.

I would add exhaust in there if you don't already have it. You need to get the heat out some how. I also use pedestal fans to move the air around.
