My veg plants basically stopped growing, so I quit doing it. I'm just one data point, so I'm not suggesting my results are typical.Ive tried looking for a thread but couldn't find one. If there is one Id like to see it!
I was wondering if anyone uses or has heard of the 12.1 Light cycle for veg. I know a couple people that swear by it and their product is unbelievable.
12 hours lights on, 5 hours off, 1 hour on, 5 hours off then repeat
My question have they recorded plusses and minus? If its so great then why doesn't everyone do it? Electricity and heat would be cut in half for veg time. I will post a picture in a bit of some of the finished product.
Yes, and it wasn't effective for me. I save power by running 16/8, if I need them to grow faster, I go to 20/4. Constant or 24/0 doesn't seem to grow anything better, either- except clones. You mean you tried the 12.1 ttystikk?
You bitchin'... or braggin'? LOLKeep havin to edit my posts lol too blitzed to type straight
Simpler and more consistent to just use a repeating 6/6 cycle. I've read that Cannabis slows down photosynthesis after about 6 hours so it seems to make sense to only give them 6 at a time. I guess you could also use a repeating 6/2 cycle with three cycles each day. 6/6 would save on power though and may in fact produce as much growth as 18/6 or 24/0 due to "resetting" the photosynthesis cycle after 6 hours. It's just conjecture at the moment. I have used 6/6 but not in a side by side comparison with 18 or 24. Never did try 6/2 though. Might work better than 18/6 at the same power usage. Regarding hermies, idk. It's possible.Ive tried looking for a thread but couldn't find one. If there is one Id like to see it!

This is the gas lantern routine. It's also known as 12.1.How does this differ from the gas lantern routine....there is quite a few threads on it,but ive never experimented with it myself.
