I'm just curious. What makes this better than growing Automatics?
I'm a small time farmer and have been growing only autos for the last 2 years. A couple of weeks ago I harvested 3 Afgan Kush Ryders. Ended up with 2.15 ozs dried which I consider pretty good with my CFLs and LST. I don't sell, so it's ALL mine. On a 10 scale I would rate these a 8.5-9.
cons
1. The seeds and shipping are expensive
2. Can't clone em
3. Production is low
pros
1. Finished in 8-9 weeks. I always have some going so I can produce this every 4-5 weeks or so.
2. No veg period.
3. Lighting is 24/0. Same bulbs from seed to harvest. No timers to mess with.
Time for a change.
Growing out a reg Fem Anestesia(sp?) right now as a mother. It came free from Tude with one of my orders. I will be taking clones and going 12/12 shortly after roots have developed. I always wondered what would happen doing this and I am impressed.
Very well done del66666 and thanks for the info. Nice pics.

Following this thread inspired me to try my own 12/12 grow; I'm a week into flower with my traditional grow and I have a ton more floor space under my 1000watt so I will put the plants off in one corner(7'x7' area) to avoid immediate exposure to the youngins....... do you think they can handle the 1000 watt hps? or, should I have them under Flouros for the first few weeks?
What are some good strains to use with the 12/12 from seed method? Or better yet...what characteristics should I look for when choosing a strain for the 12/12 from seed method?
For example: Indica dominant or Sativa dominant or 50/50?
I'm considering the Jack Herer from Greenhouse Seed Company...it is 40(sativa, haze)/60(indica, red skunk) and appears to grow with one main cola. Would the JH be a good choice for this method?
Thanks, Reishi
it should be called 12/12/12 lol....Its my next go i believe with the thc bomb looks great ...def more cost effeicent and if u can really pull 1g per watt thats awsome...Im happy with .5 i think is realistic for me and my quatum 600w but set at 450w right now....
