Absolutely nothing. Roots must stay in cup. Thanks for clarification. Can you describe what you're considering doing....?

We couldn't in good faith call it a 12/12 from seed comp then eh?not to bitch about the rules but, I feel we should get like 7 days or something under a regular light or 18/6, with my set up using a veg and a flower room, it's unfortunate but in order to be on 12/12 I have no choice but to start under 1k hps! and I feel that's what killed my 4th!
well unfortunately, I started dropping 30 min off my 12/12 schedule before I started the comp, and considering were talking about ball park of 5 grand worth of product, I really didn't think 30 min less would effect anything, or even be noticeable! but also changing 5 grand worth of harvest, back to 12/12 could affect my girls in a very very bad way! there's just no way in hell I'm risking all these girls for that!We couldn't in good faith call it a 12/12 from seed comp then eh?
Figuring out and managing the logistics of such a grow is half the battle & fun of it.
Gotta try to get in where you fit in.
In this comp, you are allowed to use any type or combination of types of lighting.
This is just my interpolation of that rule...grain of salt.Absolutely nothing. Roots must stay in cup. Thanks for clarification.
I'm running 10/14. Okay okay, this is technically a "seed to flower comp".This isn't Dawg's comp where it's 12/12 no exceptions.well unfortunately, I started dropping 30 min off my 12/12 schedule before I started the comp, and considering were talking about ball park of 5 grand worth of product, I really didn't think 30 min less would effect anything, or even be noticeable! but also changing 5 grand worth of harvest, back to 12/12 could affect my girls in a very very bad way! there's just no way in hell I'm risking all these girls for that!
I hope that don't disqualify me, but at the same time, I'm 100% sure every one of you would agree with me on this, but it is what it is and rules are rules! but there's isn't a flying chance in hell, I'm risking all these plants to push the time back up 30 min! but it is what it is...
That’s where I was going with my original question...resetting my lanky bastards and for future root pruning. If I could bonsai the roots...which I could still do to the roots trying to protrude from the cup without removing the root ball. This is just my interpolation of that rule...grain of salt.
They must stay in the cup,no DWC hanging type roots,no roots hanging out of the cup and still living assisting plant growth, nute uprake etc.
We are confined to 16oz of medium/media inside a 16 oz solo cup. Root trimming and resetting is our perogative.Could be a detriment or an advantage,it's moot tho.
However we do it it must be inside the cup.
I plan on resetting a lanky one I have now,if it's against the rules...that one won't be included in the comp. It'll be sexed and transplanted if it's a girl.
Again this is what MY interpretation of the rule is.I have no issue with being completely wrong.
That is a pretty sweet idea man.. Can't wait to see how that turn out for you in the last days of flower..Here is my weekly photo.
I like that inverted idea, gives you more root volume down low where its needed. Good thinking. Here is my weekly photo.
I was about to say the same thing. I may have to try this next time. My opinion on the whole re-cupping thing... I would say go for it. You have more of an opportunity to kill your plant than you do improve it. lolI like that inverted idea, gives you more root volume down low where its needed. Good thinking.
Should have filled those cups more- you might want to add some to the bottom in a couple weeks...All four MM coming out of dirt.View attachment 4274733
