i got a 12-12 from bagseed going on, 3 plants are 55 days old today and one is 38 days old today. all females under cfls

Oops, wrong "quote" . . . meant "seedlings need 24 hours" post.
From what I'm reading here re:12/12 . . . it does seem awfully strange that the seedlings don't stretch badly and damp off . . . I mean, folks not even trying to do 12/12 have this issue fairly regularly. Must be an "age" trigger or something that stops excessive stretch?
I gotta try this some day.

I threw in a bagseed on 12/12 when I switched my girls to flower...its been almost five weeks.Its about nine inches tall and is beginning to show sex. I think its gonna be a male, but I'll wait a few more days before I kill it.

lookin good ,that must be a strain that loves the 12/12 from start.Its growing super fast.some take to it better than others

Heh my 12/12 experimental bagseed is about 24 inches tall and a few weeks into flowering so far im not impressed but it is early in the game.The 12/12 cycle really did help sex though as soon as possible the only issue I see is that for about two weeks I had a plant with five or six hairs and thats it,oh and no real branching to speak of the lady is shaped like an xmas tree lol!

I dont care what you guys say thats going to be asmall ass yield,thats gay !give it a week in veg at least.yea it works putting it in 12 hrs right off the bat ,but you could have so much of a better yield and thats a fact. you will hardly have any branches to clone from or anything I think this way sucks,what a waste.

Hence the term experiment,iv'e got bud and im about to have some more so growing the bagseed this way is not hurting anything.But im going to have to agree with you on the yield im thinking it is going to be small and for your info I have 2 branches at the bottom just begging to be cloned lol!.....lordy ,lordy,two whole branches.

I agree. I understand what you guys are trying to do. And i am only on my second grow. But. I think that your experiment is a bold one. I wish you luck, and i hope your "findings" are rewarding!
I would also like to add that even just 3-5 days under some 6500k cfl or mh light would probably more than double the end weight that your plant will probably produce.

yea i am a firm believer in sog. My first grow was a sea of green and i veged for two weeks. They were a foot tall when i started 12/12. They would have been bigger but it was my first grow and i had ALOT of problems.
I think the end result of cultivating any valuable cash crop is to get a reasonable yields. Given that it is understood that your experimenting with the technique, why would you continue that down that avenue after one or two grows. That would be like NASA still building and testing Mercury launch vehicles today. It just seems like an eventual logical conclusion that you would end up sacrificing 3-5 days in veg in order to produce more of that special medicine. At least do it for us in the name of efficiency!

this is what evrybodys 12/12 from seed looks like but mine are like twice that size and there juss showing sex and im only using cfls, maybe hps aint as good as evryone makes out
