Those are pix of different runs, perpetual system. I've done dirt, perlite, dwc, aero, and just about anything in between. I average 4-8 oz dry on indoor bushes, 1-2oz each dry on sog plants.
What strain was that purple one in the background of the last pic?

dammit... I killed the thread
thats simply because all you are arguing is that 24/0 works...DUH. NO SHIT ...everybody knows that works already and nobody here has a question if it does. what this thread is simply asking is how well does 12/5.5/1/5.5 work and if it works better or equally to 24/0 or 18/6

has anyone here tried this personally, i read it in an article saying that it helps a whole lot but ive never even heard of a light cycle like this

heres the article http://www.gurugrowing.com/content.php?114-Grow-Bigger-and-Better-saving-30-50-on-your-energy-cost!&
in case you forgot ...as you seem to have this is my original question...i clearly know that 24/0, 22/2, 20/4, 18/6, 16/8 all work and that is not my question im just simply asking for what the positives are of using the 12/5.5/1/5.5 cycle especially since as it seems many people use it... and if you prefer it over the others and why

The light cycle has been around for years, it works for how I like to grow. I've never had any issues with it, the plants are healthy and show no stress. I do like they way it reduces stretch in flower, although I dont use the diminishing light cycle in fower, so I can't comment on that part of it.

happy growin
