1200 w grow room build - w00t

Ok guys, im fucking pumped!!!


Yesterday I ordered

(2) 600w Lumatek 120v Ballast
(2) 6" Radiant Air cooled hoods
(2) Hortilux bulbs
(2) HD Timers

All for under 1000$!! I called today to get a tracking number, and when I looked in my bank account I realized I didnt get charged as much as I thought I was going too...why?? They gave me a free hortilux bulb!!

Dont be scared of there shipping prices they give you online. Call and ask for a real shipping quote, as there online calculator isnt efficient.

It told me 161$ for shipping but it ended up only being about 70$ for everything i listed.

Good people over there very helpful. My stuff should be here saturday and i'm going to start framing my room the day i get my stuff.

Goods arrived today..

My free bulb I was bragging so much about is broken before it even got here. Before i even took it out of the bubble wrap it was making a tinging noise..

Everything else is A+

I hope my free bulb gets replaced..what do you guys think ?

well they shuld replace it... damn post guys throwin shit around... my buddy delivers for a big chain (u.s) postal system... and throws shit all the time... i got pissed at him and said... dude... what if someone has growing supplies and your just going through and throwin shit ... wtf...he laughed and said "ya think" ... then a few months later he calls me and goes dude... you wouldn't believe how many things i've delivered from "hydroponic shops" lol (after he pays attention) that's crazy i'm really thinking alot of ppl grow... alot more than we think

I called and my new bulb will be sent out today and should be here by Tuesday.

My room im building should be under way tomorrow.

I'll keep everyone updated.

My grow space is 8x4.

Im going to have TWO 3x4 area with 2 foot walk space.

I might do 1 scrog, 1 SOG ... I am undecided to how many plants im going to use, etc.

instead of scrog why dont you just LST your plants? Its the same concept the only difference is you get more light coverage and folding flan leaves underneath a screen is a pain in the ass.

just something my mentor told me

I used LST on my current grow about a week before flowering and I am now 26 days into flower. It really opened up a whole lot more bud sites and it was simple, took at the most 10 minutes. If you want you can check out my journal bterz i got some pics. Whatever you end up doing I'm sure it will get you a shit load of bud with two 600's

thats what i shall do. LST it is. Maybe attempt SoG and ScroG on harvests to come.

SoG would be cool. Its pretty simple if you just get it down. And you will.

Its what i plan on doing with my small cab.

You can also consider topping, FiMing, and super cropping. But you can always try those when you feel more confident

what is a good light

I would scrog if i were you. Scrogging is easier to do with clones , my scrog from seed is kind of out of control.

I definitely wouldnt do a true SOG fro because i like larger plants / bigger buds. SOG is good when you only have less penetration.

2 600s would be money in that size.

I figured SoG would be good in any circumstance, considering I could squeeze 30 plants in 7" pots under my space.

I will have 12 clones to work with.
Maybe I will veg all 12 under 1 light until the 6 get big enough to ScroG with.
The other 6 that were vegging I will take cuttings from and do a SoG with.

So under 1 600w I will have a ScroG, and other the other 600w I will have 30 clones and I will have a SoG.

Sounds bueno?

I'm doing something similar.... have a closet for mothers and clones with t5's and CFL's respectively, and a 9x5 area for my DWC setup. not sure on how many i'll end up flowering, but i'm in the construction phase now. doing two 1000 w on light movers.... i'll stagger the light tracks for optimal growth.

did the company require any proof that the light was damaged upon shipment? if not... what's there to stop someone from getting free equipment? could someone say the ballast was dented in 5 inches and wouldn't operate and receive a second ballast for free?

not tryin to scam anyone.... just wonderin...

He is sending a new bulb with a box for the old bulb. I send the old bulb back and he gets his money back from EYE Hortilux or whoever makes the bulb so I dont think that would work.

If you had a ballast that was dented they would send you a new one but you would have to send your old one back.
