actually i already would like to sow it, but damn, in 4 weeks i'll be flying away for almost 2 weeks... still don't know who is going to take care of plants, therefore i'm thinking to pop kali after i'll get back, devember 6th or so... and now concentrate on making instructions how to treat cindy.
btw yesterday i leached her and this morning was already seeing light green growth... it's like nitro for cars, such a nice boost :)
today will be taking clones, four of them, from 2 bottom nodes, topping her, prunning and burying her stem. will be very interesting day ;)

Well that's understandable. Yea, the leaching really helps. Pictures coming after you cut clones?

I may have a new problem arising, ill be digging through as much of the soil as I can to find bugs today. Found two little shitheads running around in the box, not on the plant.

Ok, this is a big one.
Here we go :)

This pic is from before things happened today.

and here's another one

That Cindy is surely trippy hehe. Side shoots bellow cotyledons

First of all I took 4 cuttings frowm 2 lower nodes
Since this is my first attempt to take cuttings, I wasn't aware that you need a dome to increase humidity and decrease respiration by trimming some fan leaves. This is how they looked after dipping them into root gel and sticking into cubes.

One hour later. Not looking very good.

Took some emergency treatment. Placed my cage, covered with plastic bag and sprayed some water on sides to increase humidity.

Ok, lets move to the plant. After taking cuttings I defoiled fan leaves of 2 lower nodes. Getting ready to burry the stem up to 3rd node. And also topped above 4th node.

Check out the rootball. 19th day.

Measured how deep plant has to go into medium, soaked bottom with some mild solution of grow food, camg, potassium silicate, some liquid algae and placed the plant in the center of 4.5gal pot.

With paint brush aplied some rooting gel on the stem that is going to be burried. Gently buried the plant and watered around the edges for the plant to start stretching its roots towards moisture.

Did some foliar spray. Plant does not look very happy with all the stuff I'm throwing at her, but far from showing serious stress. This happened ~7pm

~10pm Cindy forgot everything what happened to her today. Leaves are again reaching for the light.

Hopefully clones will survive this fail of mine and will root successfully. Other than that, everything went perfectly, just as planned.
Fan leaves and top that I cut, I am carrying with me and keep on smelling it... What a fragrance... hopeyougotadutch, you need to sow one to understand what I mean :)

Everything I do now, it is so new to me, can't wait to see where it'll bring me :)

Cheers!

Nice man, I've yet to try cloning myself, I'm sure yours will perk back up though. And, I want to man, this plant sounds amazing. Not sure if I'm going to have the room in the box, going to try to make space tomorrow night, see if I can work something out.

EDIT:By the way, nice root ball.

so, looks like topping did not cause plant too much stress cause next day side shoots were already growing at a very nice pace.
yesterday it was 22nd day of veg.
look at the 4days progress

nodes are quite spacious, hopefully next ones will be shorter

clones are also looking alright, no roots yet, but hey, its only 5th day.

hi guys. 4 weeks of veg today. Since Nov1 quite a nice progress. Today was the first time I was watering her after topping/replanting her.

Here're some pics.

With this speed of growth I'm afraid I'll not be able to veg her for much longer.
Still waiting for cuttings to show the roots.

Hello fellas. Happy day!

Hope you are all celebrating this day, cause today last two of the cuttings showed roots. Planted all four into some pots that I had at home. So now I have a bit more than 1 week and a half till I'll be leaving my grow room to somebody else to look after until I'll be on my vacation.

Before that I'll have to flip C99 and Female>Male clones into flower. Will try to veg 2xC99 clones for a week longer. Well all will be documented, we'll see in near future.
btw, Cindy 3 days ago started showing preflowers. Can't wait for the flip I guess

Here are some pics.
Cuttings

And the garden itself

Comments are appreciated, always nice to know whether I'm going right or wrong direction
Cheers guys!

Amazing grow simisimis. Followed all your earlier threads and Kite High posts RIP man.
Inspired by you guys i decided for my first grow to go with FM Cindy too.
Mine are no near so perfect as yours, but all you see is coco/perlite hempy bucket 400hps at 45day of veg.
Topped at 4th node too.But top two branches became little more dominant than lower ones. However topping at 4th node is the way to go.
P.S. i grow Cindy along with chillis :)

Anyway, nice pics, I don't have to sit down atm, but stick around, some huge update coming today. Also I'd like to hear more about your Cindy,
laters,
Sim

Hehe, i'm only 2 months here, lots of reading, never grew MJ before.
Will flip Cindy in 8 days, shes only 11cm tall now, hope she will not outstreech 50cm during flowering.Very limited space and heat issues even with cool tubed 400w hps...

will post some more pics after i flip maybe :)

whoa... 50cm is a tough call man :) according to FM it grows 80-100cm. I've noticed that last time I trained her that much, she grew real taller than I expected. Hm, something like 60-70cm tall.. That black medium she's growing in a pic was about 30cm.
https://www.rollitup.org/cfl-fluorescent-lighting/626355-2nd-grow-c99-super-lemon-10.html#post9052761

anyway, it's doable, you might need to tie some, maybe supercrop, but doable ;)
45 days of veg.. wow man and you still plant to keep on vegging her for 8 days??? :) FM C99 fully matures withing 4 weeks. I could have flipped her already on 28th day. It started showing preflowers and nodes started to alternate.
Well definitelly keep me updated with your pics. If you'll decide to create a thread, make sure you give me the link ;)

btw, how's the smell of her?

I will post some of my pics within few minutes. Have a lot to show :)

So guys. yesterday it was day 35. 5 weeks of veg and a day of flip. But not only that. Also I made that lady some real storm. Flushed with lots of water and last 2 liters I gave her some food plus 1.3ml per liter of H2O2. By the time I finished leaching her, her leaves were cupped and droopy, clearly showing some serious stress from overwatering. But as expected after 12hours shew grew more than in 24hours of regular day. After 24hours I could not believe my eyes.. Main 4 colas grew like 2 inches each.
Here're some pics

Before things happened

after 12 hours. Look at those vigor circles..

As you can see in this pic plant is still showing some cupping from overwatering stress but the bright green indicating growth spurt gives some hope.

Now here's a pic from 24hours later. Check on the cage how much taller it got in one day. Also note how leaves are reaching for the light showing that respiration is happening and signs of overwatering are almost gone.

Cant wait what kind of results I'm gonna be seeing in additional 24 hours...

Now the clones.
Clones are doing really good. Today it was 18th day since I took cuttings and started rooting. Clones from second node are growing much faster than from 1st node. They rooted first and now have 2+ set of fan leaves comparing to clones taken from 1st node.
1st node clones

2nd node clones

I chose Cutting1 and Cutting4 from pics to be Female>Male plants. Cutting2 and Cutting3 will be mothers(seed carriers).

Also today I was making STS solution by mixing silver nitrate with sodium thiosulfate. was quite tough cause my scales has +-0.1 accuracy and I needed 0.1 of silver nitrate and 0.5 of sodium thiosulfate. And of course after diluting it and mixing it with water at 1:9 ratio I finally sprayed two of the clones and placed them in flowering room together with cindy.

I also made additional grow room to veg 2 of them for another 6 days.

And now I am going to sleep with a big smile cause this weekend was very rewarding. Learned quite a lot about my plants :)

I train it hard to reach the goal. Also winter is coming which will help so i could even reach those 70cm if needed.
Will flip her tommorow ,so we can compare :)
Yours are beautiful so far.
Mine cindy was attacked by thrips, horrible pests,so i should fight by spraying them poison twice.Transplanted it 3 times (thought for roots it's good, drinks water faster,no way...) but the main problem is my leave tips are little burned from nute burn or heat stress. I have PPM meter and i give them twice as weak solution suggested.Temperature max 27-28.PH'd water. I dont know what is wrong...And the leave veins are little yellow.Ok dont mind...This is your thread.
Almost forgot,it smells like nothing, grass maybe. This is one of the reasons i picked her since it grows in little apartment.

don't worry man, mine or not. glad that some action is happening here :)
and this is Cindy we are talking about :)
if you read my threads you prob saw KH saying that C99 is mag whore. he remembered that too late when she was showing signs already. well he fixed it with calmag additive. i got myself camg as well, so far no signs of having prob with that. what food are you using? what are ur watering habbits? did you ever leached her?

I grow in coco which is already calmag whore, also read about cindys love to cal mag,so i bought epsom salt for mag and gypsum for cal but i use them very gently as my problem doesnt look like calmag. But i use filtered water so some is needed anyway.
Use decent coco nutrient Hesi coco with all minerals.

Ok,at first i really did nute burn her,but its been 3 weeks since i leached her.I check run off water and she eats fine, but yellow tips more or less remains... I start to think i do not give her enough food now, shes on a bright side now,few lowest leaves are yellowing,so N deficiency...

But she grows ok,tied tips perked up and shes taller 5cm today! also noticed white pistils all over and nodes alternating so flipped her this evening.Thats gonna be fun.

Hi,

just wanted to share my grow.Been on a trip missed some action, she was too far away from light and cold at night, but im here now.
I wanted to fill all the space i have and maybe i overtried :) now almost 25 tips with tiny stems are perking up.Dont know what will happen, but to control grow, yesterday i made screen.Pictures yesterday before screen and today.
wu2nbn.jpgdh73f7.jpg2qk13b9.jpg35a9bic.jpg
Also decided to make veg room,i have one cindy bean left :) so i could clone her in the future and dont wait another month for veg.

Next thing, soon im adding 120w of compact flouros, because my peppers are in shade now :)

BTW upped my nutes almost twice amount, and she grows way faster now. And please can you tell me what is best temperature at tops for cindy? If i remember correctly once you said she took 32C and grew best.I can control it,now i keep 29C,as close to the light as possible. But still 30cm from 400w bulb.

Oh almost forgot you asked about smell.I rinsed some leaves and strong smell apeared.First rhubarb and after i could smell mango.Sweet...

Show me yours :)

nice man! looks very beautiful, great work.
i'm so happy that finally somebody confirmed that it does smell something like rhubarb. also mango..
i used to have all room filled with that scent. but only recently i learned that happy plants do not stink, smell is their way of warning other plants in neighborhood about problems.. and i can say that it definitely works for me..it starts spreading the smell only when trained or touched... i guess i'm getting in control of my room.

about feeding make sure it's not 4weeks grow spurt when you flip a plant in flower. with a screen it will be more difficult to leech the salt buildup in case there will be one. now im feeding twice less and having way less deficiencies that i had die to salt buildups and element excess..
if i'd be in total control of my garden, i'd go for 27-29C during day, 20-22 during night..
and you can go up to six inches to 400w hps, if closer, too intensive light will break chlorophyl and you'll get albino buds..
but ofc that close only if you are able to vent and cool the air at tops..

but everything looks real great man. gratz!

i'm currently on vacation myself. one week left and i'll be flying back to my garden, but today my sister sent me images. will post them in a sec

Mad stretch man,
i remember your previous grow with tall and lanky stems ,can it be from not enough light? Of course your plant look very healty and grows faster than mine anyway...Budding is almost the same though...

About smell, yes,i cant smell it even in the cab,so i should rinse the leaves to feel.I remeber someone write about rhubarb, but didn know it was you.But it was very obvious its rhubarb and then mango :)
Will reduce ferts, new ferts are on the way, whole Hesi line,so plenty of stuff to try.
Have a good vacation
