150w HPS CFL grow.

Thought he meant the person doing the hydro grow in a rubbermaid container. I think he meant me. dodn't mean to take someones credit though

ok if I was to trim some of my branches off while its flowering that doesnt have bud on it to open it up so more light will get to it and more room for the buds to grow will it hurt it?

you can do that but super dropping is easier,
here is what i did

doing this opens all inner growth up to direct light

Now i'm wondering what this rubbermaid thing is all about. I 'm just doing a grow in a rubbermaid container and thought he meant me. Here it is

im not man lol
i use rubbermaids cause they keep all your light in
i have never been the man of rubbermaid haha
only two of my grows have included rubbermaids
the rest nothin

what kinda of light are you using growman? I thought I saw an HID hood. Looks good though. I've seen a couple of these stealth space ships lol. they look really good. Last one I saw guy had a 6 gallon hydro res inside a 20 gallon one and then another 20 gallon on top. Looked pretty cool. Personally I really hate messing with the cfls its too much working moving them all seperate and what not I like just moving one light at a time.

its a 400 watt m/h hps

i hear ya on the cfls, the wires get all over the place and they fucken swing like a bitch when you have nothing but a high place to hang em from

Mine is actually stealth also kinda. its a wardrobe 6 feet tall, 2 feet deep, and 4 feet wide. Its has 2 grows of 540 watts each one on top of the other and its t5ho. Not much heat and it fully closes up.

hell ya man. My last grow at my old house was a closet grow about the dimensions. I didn't split the room up though I didn't have room for the filter and the fan that way.

Sorry for stealing your thread shef.

i know we just pretty much excluded him from his own thread

sorry there shef man
whee you at

this is it and again sorry for stealing the thread. It now has 2 levels. Actually a 150 hps or 2 may work well in here getting back to the 150s

The rubber maid wouldn't be to small of a place for the 150??? I mean I have no clue how much heat they throw out but I know the 400 KICKS OUT some heat. I kinda want to invest in a smaller HPS for stealth grows but then when I move to a legal state it will just be a waste of money.

well I thought about getting rid of my Dresser grow and move it into a rubbermaid

How to Create a 400 Watt HID Rubbermaid Grow

You Will need
:

Three Rubbermaid bins

Three higher velocity fans
One lower velocity fan
A sharp razor or knife
Mylar, or flat white paint

Step one:
Place one Rubbermaid bin right side up take cover of and put to side

Step1.png

Step two: remove the cover of a second Rubbermaid bin and place face down over the first Rubbermaid bin

Step2.png

Step Three: Cut a hole in the bottom of the top box

Stap3.png

Step Four:
put last Rubbermaid right side up with cover on top cut hole in bottom of Rubbermaid bin first

Step4.png

Step Five:
Cut a hole in the second bin up on the side for one high powered fan

Step six:
Cut directly opposite for the second high powered fan
both will be pumping air in

Step5and6.png

Step Seven:
Cut a hole on the side of the top box so that the third and final high powered fan will fit blowing air out

Step eight:
Cut a hole on the side of the bottom box so that the low powered fan will fit and blow on your plants nicely

Step7and8.png

Step nine: Affix hood and bulb so that it can hang from the cover of the top box

Step9.png

Step ten: put mylar all over the inside, if Mylar is not an option use flat white paint

Step Eleven: put them plants in there and let em grow

To access the plants simply take the top bin off the top,
to get all the way to the plants take the middle and top off

Anyway here of some pics of it and its results

Alright I'm loving the idea although I have an air cooled hood a 4" growbright inline fan and a 4" carbon filter. I would have no where for the filter I might have to tweak it a little bit by cutting two holes in the top and putting the carbon filter above the light. I deffinately need the filter for the smell I mean this can't even leave a HINT of weed. I am currently staying for the time being in my mothers rental house that she has the keys to and lives down block. But she is almost 60 so she doesn't make any trips into the attic I know for sure....... Wait well no that wouldn't work I don't think that lid will be able to hold my heavy ass hood. I mean its got a remote ballast but that thing is a good 20-25 pounds with the glass in. Thanks for the idea though if I can tweak it to work with the filter I let you know.
