Yeah I thought about it. But then I realized for what I would pay to get a good C02 system rigged up, I could build another 150w cab I think I will build a 150w MH/HPS conversion cab eventually for a perpetual grow, then maybe use my mini fridge for a mom/clone/AF cab on 20/4 or 18/6. Just dont know yet.

Any ideas about how much would be required both time & money wise to setup some C02 in that small fo a space (the mini fridge)? From what Ive read Im looking at a few hundred dollars easy, not including the instruments to test the amount of C02 in the air.

hey kb,

been a while dude how ya been? Tcurtiss has a grow going on atm in a whirpool fridge, its an led grow and he added a co2 bottle, i believe it along with the valves and small tank was around 300. not sure of the exact numbers but its not cheap. i read a thread on how to make a diy co2 generater. you get a bottle and a few household things like yeast and something else and jsut let athe bottle sit in the cab. i know it doesn't answer your question that much but ill find a link to that guys grow and put itup here. i saw your last harvest on icmag. very nice.

nice thread man what was your yield per plant?? im thinking of starting ak autos as have limited space and want bud as quick as possible but all my research produced conflicting results. i should prob just jump in and find out for myself but any info on cloning the auto ak would be greatly appreciated.. i read your thread saying they would be same age, so to clarify if i took one plant and took 2 sprigs from it i can harvest 3 plants at same time?? sorry for all the questions but im a noob with autos but also dont want to spend £40 on seeds everytime nor have room for 2 different grow spaces for pollination. although this could be done in one room i dont want to run the risk of getting all my ladies preg. thanks for your time

sorry to bother you again but just have one more q if anyone can help me with. if i have reg strain and autos together what sort of light cycles should i use if possible or should i veg reg strain first then add autos at flowering would this work?? any help would be much appreciated as i have a rough idea about it but would like confirmation or advice from an experienced grower.

On this particular run I got 11g dry off one, and 14g dry off the other. After this I ran 8 Diesel Ryders in the mini fridge under the 150HPS on a 20/4 light schedule and got 12 to 21g dry off each. I have since grown them in 1gal grow bags and pulled 3/4 to 1oz each dry.

Dont do it. In fact, never clone an auto, it is pointless. When you clone an auto, IF you can get the clones to survive, it will stunt the original plant making it yield less, and the clones will not be able to grow long enough to get any decent bud on them. I only mentioned that it was possible because some people were being nit picky. You will have to pollinate a female if you dont want to buy any more seeds.

I would suggest growing a male under a single 23w CFL somewhere till his pollen is ready. It can be anywhere, in the garage, under a sink, etc. When the pollen sacs are starting to pop open, tip him upside down and shake him over a paper plate. Then take a paint brush and brush on some pollen to just a branch or 2 of the female you want to pollinate. This will keep pollen from getting all over the grow cab.

If you have non AF plants, you will have to use 12/12 otherwise they will never flower. I have grown AF plants with non AF under 12/12 light before, and it works just fine but your yield will be significantly less. Best light schedule for most autos is 20/4 or 24/0

Hey just a question how tall on average will diesel ryders get if i plant straight into 8 litre pots? my cabinet is 30 inches but minus the pot and light ive only got 18 inches for the plant to grow will i be okay with diesel ryders?

that'll be just fine man. dr's are usually a short autoflower

Yeah on average mine get from 10-14 inches tall in a 1 gallon (3.87 Liter) grow bag. I do have 2 phenos going though and 1 gets much taller than the other. My tallest right now is about 20" tall. In an 8 liter pot I could see you having to train a couple of them, but the ones that stay short and bushy will fit no problem. Assuming you are not using a 250W HPS or something. 150w HPS or CFLs would be best in your case.

Hey, don't mean to barge in on your thread but after seeing your success rate I had a question for you. I was wondering, would you recommend 20-4 or 24-0 light cycle from seed, or should I introduce light at a 12-12 until about week or so? The reson I ask is because I have only one Advanced Top 69 A/F seed that has popped and is about 1/2 inch tall but I don't want to fk her up.

I have had plenty of photosynth grows successfully but I would like to get maximum yield from this Northern Lights x Ruderalis A/F strain

Hey guys, thanks a lot for the kind words. I am actually in the process of firing the old girl back up again. Have a wonderful closet setup but want to experiment some too and Im out of room

@Node - A couple of breeders recently have had some major issues with their AF strins not beinf true AFs. So having said that, dont ever, EVER use a 12/12 light schedule unless you have had 18 hours or more of light a day for 30 days plus. If you dont see signs of sex at 30 days I would wait another wek TOPS and flip to 12/12.

Now lets say you got a real AF which Im sure you do, 20/4 is my personal recommendation simply because I see no yeild difference between that and 24/0 and also because I like to let the lights go off at least once a day to keep heat from building up creating too much stagnant air. Of the few AF strains I have grown, every one of them shows sex when the plant is about 4" tall give or take an ince and 12 to 21 days old. males usually show first and 21 days was very rare, avg was about day 16 for 90% of each batch.

I am very jealous of that strain, NL is and will always be one of my most desired strains to grow. I have yet to come across it, but hopefully some day. if you have a thread or anything feel free to post the link, Ill sub for sure!

not sure if your still round but how many weeks into flower did you polinate those dr? ive got some purple mazar that im gunna polinate with male of same strain.

subscribing to this, had the idea to use a mini fridge as well, have one sitting in my garage un-used.
