Well DJJ all weather reports say a dry year for us next year. If that is true I should have a great grow season next year. dirrtyd

I'm gonna buy 100 of these britely colored wrist bands. If you pre-pay $30 & your on FDD's pre-paid list, you'll get one when you arrive. You will be asked to wear or carry it. Anyone on site without a wrist band will be asked to leave.
If your not on FDD's pre-paid list, I think we should ask $40-$50 at the door!

They use these for security at all the outdoor MX events, with thousands of people. The wrist bans cannot be easily duplicated & this way we are all part of the security. If you see someone without a wrist band, please ask them to leave.

These work well

i really so no reason to do this. i don't see a reason to limit the number of people. i see no reason to discourage anyone from attending this. i don't understand why people are trying to limit things. :?

"kicked out?"

what if someone wanted to bring a girlfriend at the last minute? or any friend for that matter.

i say we pay the rental and simply open the doors.

:)

Because of the $1000 damage deposit we also have to put up!

I don't think this is enough room for a wide open event, if we're gonna do that, Camp Far West is a better option, imho No reservations necessary, stay as long as we want, no security issues (except they lock the gate at 8:00)

who said you had to put up the deposit? why not work it into the COST of attending.

this is becoming too much about money. :(

a single pound of weed would cover this whole event. ;)

"sorry, you CAN'T come in."

i'm not playing security guard, are you willing to?

Wow $1000 damage deposit..........thats crazy

I didn't mention the $1000 damage deposit because our group left the Camp Far West campground in better shape than we found it. I 'assumed' I would get it back, so no need to charge everyone for something we're gonna get back. I was trying to keep the cost down for everyone. If we include the damage deposit we would need to ask $40 pre-pay & we would have $1000 left over after the event.
I have no problem with having a wide open event. If this grows that big we could rent that 20acre place with room for 1000!
It only became about money when I tried to secure some nicer facilities.
We can easely go back to the BYOB Camp Far West format, that was cool!

P.S. The damage deposit on the 20acre place is $5000!

If your going to have a "Wide Open Party" then the house on the delta is not the spot. Camp Far west, or something similar would be a much better choice. I think jj feels comfortable with the attendees at the 1st BBQ, and would be willing to extend himself to pull this event off in Walnut Grove. If we open the doors to every "Tom, Dick, and Jane, well that comfort level has gone WAY DOWN, and now jj's not as willing to extend himself, hell someone has to sign the dotted line for that nice place on the Delta....
I think as a community we need to decide if this event will be a "wide open" "open to everybody" event, or keep it to under 100 heads like the BBQ. I'm going either way, but I think I would enjoy a gathering not so "wide open" myself, hell I had a hard time meeting everybody at the 1st one.....LOL

so you all feel there are people here who aren't worthy of our party?

suddenly this big fear has been created.

i saw NONE of this at the first party.

what if my wife wants to come at the last minute? i ask again, ... who is going to throw her out for not having a wrist ban? do we have a SECURITY TEAM in mind?

i'd sell a pound and cover it all in order to make it WIDE OPEN.

my vote has been cast.

The main reason to limit the number is to incourage pre-pay sign-ups. Not necessarly to limit attendance. If we get enough people to pre-pay the damage deposit, we can make it wide open!
But, anyone who waits until the last minute, is putting a burden on everyone else by not carrying their share. They should pay more for that luxury.
The wrist bands are just ane easy way to police ourselves. Everyone wearing a wrist band has paid & is carrying their end of the board. Every else is freeloading on the rest of us. I'm not gonna go around asking people to leave, I just may not pass them a joint!
I can cancel this anytime we think is too much trouble, & I'll be out at Camp Far West on 420

P.S. If I had a pound to spare!lol!

It would be cool of several of us (Big Dogs) just under-wrote the whole thing! We all spent more money than the entry fee, for the Camp Far West BBQ.

If we could put something like that together that would be great! If we did that we wouldn't need to pre-pay. Just put a donation jar, pay what you can.

I'm it!
