Dunno if this is a help but a couple points to make res changes easier if you haven't instigated anything yet.
A small fishtank powerhead with a hose adapter bonded to its outlet is a great way to empty em, lining the res with a quality bin liner before filling more than pays for itself come cleanup time. Pump out as much as you can unclip the bag from the res top (rubber bands work too) and fuck it in the bin.
I use my old nutes to water the garden etc at times to save putting them down the drain.
I used the pump to pump out and then pump in RO before adding new nutes.
After a while of res changeouts and cleaning everything down you'll soon be fookin sick of buckets pails and jugs.
