1st florida grow questions w/ pictures

So:
First set of three plants are now almost five weeks old seem to be doing better since I started bringing them out in the sun. I also trimmed some of the fan leaves because there was virtually no foliage coming from the inner nodes. Since the trimming and.sunlight, tons have new leaves have sprouted there. I also topped all three plants.
They are 10 in, 9 in, and 6 in now. I'm going to put them in.bigger pots tonight. My second set of plants are also.a week old.today. ill put pictures of.both.

My tallest plant has begun to dry and shrivel and the leaves are curling under/turning brown. I think it got too much sun :( the other two are doing okay.though. I transplanted.them today into 2 gallon pots. All three were pretty rootbound.. I wish I was able to do it sooner. Also got a 60w cfl(300 equivalent) today.

they look happy .......
glad to here things are going well .....
when ever you do get discoloration or tip burn its best to take a pic of it .... i know sometimes its embarrassing BUT it helps alot in diagnosing the problem ...... just my 2 cents :D

Going to take a pic now... its covered in dust because I found what I think is a budworm on a leaf that was chewed through. I'm thinking this could also be the issue.

do you know the NPK of your soil?
i dont think the worm did that
its either PH , nute burn , or wasnt hardened off well enough before going into direct sunlight and literally sunburned <~~~~~ think your on the right track there ......... almost like youve done your research :D

and also ts really hard sometimes to properly diagnose bag seed .... seeing how the genetics are unknown ... some do really well and some are sickly the whole grow
just from my experiences anyway

I have.never tested my soil.. I need to get a meter or some strips or something. I use organic soil and nutes and distilled water. But the plants had pretty much never seen sunlight directly and I put.them on a white.table directly in the sun during the hottest part of the day in florida. Probably not the best move lol. Do you think it will recover? Thanks again for your help by the way. I'm pretty much wingin it here using google to learn lol.

think you already know whats up :P read up on " hardening off plants " i know it sounds kinky but you'll find some useful info
and it should recover if it was sunburn if it progresses then its probably not the cause and i would start leaning towards nute burn

half of the new growers forget about the most useful resource on the planet ..... you must be well versed in the ways of the GOOGLE .... just dont believe everything you read .... and read more then one article or post ....... what works for someone else might not work in your situation......

and if its bag soil the PH should be fine aslong as it contains lime which most do ( even though this isnt always true is why i add my own even if im growing from bag soil )
garden lime / dolomite lime ......... not the margarita lime's:wall:

Another question.. I seem to find a different answer everywhere I look. How long should I wait to top my plants again? Like how many sets of leaf branches should each top have before its ready?

have you looked into " mainlining "
it has a bit longer recovery time ......
just a spin off of topping

" ready " is when ever you feel like flipping it
as long as it has preflowered it is sexually mature and can be flowered that part is up to you

but rule of thumb is to give the plant 2-3 weeks before flipping after topping so i would think it would apply to topping as well
i maybe wrong .... but its what i do any way

No I've never heard of it. Ive read about fimming and super cropping. How long should you wait after topping to flower though? If I plan to start flowering in october should I leave the two tops I have already to grow?
