Everybody's lookin' good. Top44 #1 is recovering great. LOTS of little growth nubs. Also, bag#3 looks AWESOME. It's the freakish seed I put in. Leaves are all scalloped and crazy looking!

Well, Bag#3 looks awful this morning. Last night, I noticed a LITTLE yellowing on the leaves and this morning, the leaves were completely drooped over and very yellow. I watered w/ nutes and a little extra fresh water, too. This is my favorite plant, due to the funky ass leaves and its crazy leopard seed shell. Sucks to see it hurting like this.

All other plants lookin' fabulous! The Citral in veg has new shoots coming out of its "crotchal" regions, as does the older Top44, which is getting huge fast. Bag#1 is great, as are new Citral and Top44 babies. Almost time for nutes!! Also.. the lowest leaves on the Citral #1 look like the yellow is fading from them. Green coming back a little bit, thankfully. The Top44 #1 is also fully rebounded. One of its lowest leaves is still yellowish near where I cut burn off, but looks sooo healthy. It's just incredible that they've grown so much in just 3 days!

I need a better magnifying glass. my 60x is ridiculous when I just need a little extra.

Sounds like it's going prett well. Sorry to hear about bag#3 though. It did look cool.
Which one is going to be the mother plant?

I am aiming to keep the Citral in the big pot in veg. That veg. chamber is big enough to keep the big planter and 3 cups in. So.. after my vacation this summer (big 2 week fucker AFTER 1st (hopefully) harvest) I will probably employ the veg. box to do clones from mom in (if it's a girlie) and transfer. The smoke reports I've heard on the Top44 are pretty pathetic, so I will maybe move away from it. I got it, initially, because it was touted as a great beginner bud.. hardy, early flower. I wanted to try something easy. Today, I'd pick something like White Russian, although, I'm also a touch obsessed by Auto Hindu Kush. For me, Citral was one that I thought I could smoke forever. I smoked it at Dampkring in A'Dam and just fell in love. Clean head, all smiles, powerful and GREAT taste. That's why I'll try to make that my mommy. I know it's never been a CC winner or anything like that, but it's a strain that people seem to have totally forgotten about. It's a low yielder compared to other indicas and CHEAP for seeds. It's an indica w/ a sativa high. So, since I never plan to expand to a sales type thing, I'll make certain that one of my Citral seeds is a girl and keep it. Re-veg.. whatever it takes.

Shame about the negative feedback for top44. You may as well grow it out now but make sure you cure it as long as possible to maximise the taste and high.

Shit, bro.. you go to the Kring?? I should fuckin' meet you there! That's a hop across the big pond, of course, but I haven't been able to stop thinking Kring since the second my foot left their doorstep some 5-6 years ago. I know what you mean about WW. It's stony as hell, though. I lived on that shit for pain relief after my appendix was taken out. I'm the kind of person that doesn't like taking addictive substances (aside from the occasional pint or glass of wine), so the bullshit Vicodin they perscribed me was out. White Widow.. IN! Amazing enough, I lasted a few days in intense pain on nothing but Tylenol w/ Codeine and just before breaking down for the Vikes, my wife asked me to try a hookah of WW. Test proves WW > Tylenol w/ Codeine for pain. My EXCRUCIATING internal pain turned into nothing at all in minutes. It was awesome getting to just sit home and smoke Widow all day for a week.

The flower tower has no SCROG plans. I'm hoping to do an LST / SOG hybrid approach w/ 5-6 16 oz. cups. Since my (paid) strains are both dwarf indicas, I think I can easily fit 6 in there. The few Citral grows I've seen completed (all on other forums.. none here) were all 20" and under, grown straight up from seed or clone. Nothing but bud. Tellin' ya.. Passion #1 (Amstel Gold) is on my wish list, now, thanks to you.

The passion#1 pic is exactly what my indica looked like. I think it would do really well for you if it started as a rooted clone.

6 cups will be mental after a few weeks. Will they all be presexed girls or are you just using 6 to cover any males you find?

I'm hoping to do clones, so.. pre-sexed, yes. Since I'm a man of variety, I'm certain I'll be trying out new strains from seed, as well. More than likely, I will end up running 6 cups per box doing my "perpetual mother" concept. Optimally, I'll have 6 strains going all the time:

1. Citral
2. Passion #1
3. White Russian (WW x AK47.. better for anxiety than WW)
4. Chunky Cheese (Cheese x Deep Chunk)
5. TBD / Rotation - Top44 ??
6. TBD / Rotation

I also got the green light to breed ruderalis outside once we move. Thinking auto hindu kush and auto blueberry x auto ak47, but not sure yet. The AHK is something like 12-16" finished!

Yes.. almost all of it is for after the big vacation in July. I may start some seeds before I go, but it's unlikely. I was kind of hoping to only leave my veg. box going while we're gone.. Just the citral veg. and some started clones. If the clones have rooted by the time we get back, I'll pop 'em in flower. It's a touchy deal that I need to REALLY use stealth for, since we'll have people staying there while we're gone.

The Lowlifes, I *WANT* males, oddly enough. I'm hoping to breed them to make many, many, many seeds. These guys are planned for supplementals.. window sills, outside, etc. They will almost certainly never ever get in my PC cases.

I am 100% planning on a Passion #1 and a Twilight #1 at all times in the box. Your review was stellar of the Passion.. and the Twilight.. I just really wanted a purple. It's 100% Indica, though.. my first purebreed.

I have to. I think I'm going to pop the cases behind some very heavy shit while I'm gone. I may also get my web cam taking timed snaps so I know if anyone fucks around there while I'm gone.

Also.. I cannot WAIT to take new snaps. You guys are gonna shit at the size of my 2 oldest. Also, bag2 and bag3 are done for. Bag3 (my fave) is still standing tall with new growth out of the top, but the first fans are crumpled yellow on the sides of the stalk. Who knows.. maybe it'll come back. Also, the bag1 has skinny 'twisting' leaves. It looks like it's mildly distresed, but I can't be sure an its leaves look very nice. Citral2 is a little yellowish and droopy, too. More updates soon, I hope. I feel like the Top44 #1 is going to show sex any time, now. Getting big.

The first bagseed's the last one left, now. It was a big day in the garden today. I re-potted Citral #1, but watered her with nutes rather than a lot of plain water and I think she's burned. Leaves are yellow spotting. I also put new LST on the Top44 #1. It's getting huge (to me). Other seedlings are great. Not much else. Sorry for no pics. Coming soon, as I think the Top44's moments away from revealing with maybe 8-9 budsites forming already.

I hope that Citral bounces back okay..

Just posting on v12's journal, I looked at my avatar. Seems like that tiny plant was forever ago.

Also, I'm certain that bag1 is sativa. It's growing a lot slower than the indica dominants and has skinny leaves. If I'm right, it should just boom up all of a sudden, too. I was looking at my seed stock that should be arriving and those Thai Super Skunks are supposed to be absolutely massive. I wonder if I can get away with the Skunk #1 in a PC case, though. Classic me getting ahead of myself..

The burn on the Citral looks ok today. It's CLEARLY burned, but not brown. Just yellow, at this point. I can't wait to put normal water in there. Should I try to flush the soil or just wait a bit? I feel like a jackass on that one.

I reckon you can grow a big sativa in a case. You just need to scrog very early and get as many colas going as possible. If I were running 2 cases like yourself that's prolly what would be going on in the 2nd one.
It's better safe than sorry with the nutes. Some will remain at high levels in the soil so I'd drench it to flush these deposits away.

This would be super high N, since it's veg. nutes. As soon as lights on (tonight @ 10) I will give it a serious rinse. Thanks for the advice on that.

As far as Sativa goes, I may be able to retire another normal size case from my house and, if I can, I may try one, but REALLY yank it down w/ lst.. like down the side of the planter to the floor of the case. We'll see. The Thai Super Skunk sounds really yummy to me. I've never tried a chocolate strain before..

I've never smoked a chocolate before either. One to do before I die I think.
I will get round to growing a Thai strain though as I have some fond memories of the Thai sticks we used to get here some years back.

Hah! 3 cases is doable, though. Nobody would think that's out of the ordinary for me.

Soooo.. not much new today.. except that Top44 #1 is 100% A GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!! YEEEEEEHAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! That's right.. she finally lifted that skirt up and showed me some sweet white-haired bush! The funny part about it is that I'd been hunting a little bit under leaves and such for a single white hair (or balls) as a tip off, but when I pulled back the top leaves a touch, I found a huge patch of hairs. There's like 8-10 on the top cola just hiding inside a big bunch of new leaf matter. Once I found that, it was so damned obvious that I didn't even need a picture to ask you guys with. That said, I am still trying to find time for a quick photo op before my small vacation next week. Her name is now Beatrice.

Now.. I know you all don't have any pictures to go by, but it seems like her fans are really starting to obstruct the new growth. What are my realistic options here on such a small plant? Should i paper clip them or something? Prune? I need more light penetration, for sure, but I'm not sure what's best for the plant of those 2 options or if there are some other options I'm unaware of.

Also, Citral #1 is getting massive under that veg. lighting. Since my plans have changed for it, I'm going to take a clone tonight. I'm going to leave 2 nodes on it, which will give me 3 nodes (including top) to clone with. Regarding changing plans, I'm going to take a clone now and, once rooted, I'll flower the clone to show sex, then back to veg. I'm hoping to take a few more successful clones over time because I've decided that, since I'll be going to this 6 cup model w/ several strains, I have no room for a big planter. If I can be certain of sex with a clone, I'll try to take as many clones as I can and only leave one clone (of each strain) in a veg. cup while I'm on big vacation this summer. The rest of the Citral will go into the flower tower over that 2 weeks.

I'm very nervous about the 2 weeks and potentially drying out all of my plants, but I've got little choice else unless my state goes legal before the vaca (possible).

Hard to advise on light penetration without seeing Beatrice. Get a pic up if you can.
The clones might struggle without tlc for a week, but for the main plants you should be ok giving them a good drink and covering the soil with clingfilm. They don't take up much at that age.
