1st Grow - Master Kush, White Widow, Ak48 DWC

After setting up my tent, i realized it wasn't going to hold a 30lb LED. After reaching out in forums, i learned using 2x4s was my best option. Each side has an over hang of 7" to help with weight distribution.

I'm currently using backup chains to hold the light until my rope ratchets come in.

My biggest challenge so far was installing the Apec reverse osmosis water filtration system. I literally had water everywhere. After much frustration, it's installed, leak free and i'm proud to say to the GF i didn't need a plumber.

I ordered feminized Master Kush, White Widow and AK48 from Nirvana seeds. Shipping to the south took 8 days. I hear about others getting freebie seeds, but i didn't receive any.

I'll be growing 6 plants, 2 of each strain inside the 4x4 tent.

Germination
I dropped 6 seeds in water for 18 hours. A few had cracked so i then placed them in a paper towl and sat them in the garage since it's warm, dark and humid. I had 100% germination after 36 hours and each root was around a 1/2".

I soaked 2x2" rockwell cubes in RO water PH'd at 5.6 for a few hours and placed my seeds inside. I then placed them in a humidity dome and put them under light


The light is sitting 1 foot 11" inches from the top of the dome. I'm not sure how far the light should be from the actual dome it's self. I don't have any other light to use for veg and am using the Duloux 600 as it has veg, bloom and full spectrum.

Two questions so far

How far away should my light be right now? Should the veg light stay on for 24hrs? My thoughts were to keep it on for 24hrs until they start showing leaves and then move it to 18/6

The light should be 20-24 inches away and just start 18/6 till ur ready to flower u don't wanna stun her so early by switching the cycle

For anyone interested in the duolux 600, i thought I would run a kilowatt test for those geeks like me to see how much the light pulls. The main reason I chose LED over HID was simply for "thermal imaging" reasons. If anyone is interested in lumen readings let me know I'll post.

It's been six days and all but three girls were transplanted into DWC on day five.

The ones i did transplant, i added 4 ml of Calmag and 1 ml of connoisseur grow A&B into 3.5 gallons of RO water for each bucket. This put me at 85 PPM, PH'd to 5.8

I didn't go higher PPM simply because i'm waiting to transplant the others and it's still early. I'll have the rest of the girls transplanted into DWC in two days. Once this happens, i plan to up my nutrients for all six girls to 200-260.

As far as Calmag plus can i simply follow the actual dose requirements for each stage in the grow? Obviously with other nutrients i'm going to start out 1/4th of the actual dose for that specific stage and work my way up. I'm just not sure if i need to do this will Calmag as well.

My roots being early are no where near the bottom of the netpot. How do i go about watering the plants. I have read where some like to let the rockwool dry out so the plant is forced to search down for water. I have also seen where others will lightly water the rockwool until the roots actually do hit below the netpot. I added water to about a half inch up from the bottom of the netpot and it's bubblin good.

I'm here with you bro.. Its my 1st grow I'm trying 3 cheese auto flower they just sprouted in the rock wool. I'm also doing dwc. I have a 18 gallon bin with top drip system holding 2 plants and I was gonna do 1 in soil. I have as small 2ft by 3ft closet but I have a dimmable 1000 watt hps vented to the attic. I'll deft be following your grow..your babies look no e n healthy.mine just sprouted... Here my set up not as thorough as yours but hopefully will get job done.. Any tips or pointers??

Do these look OK I know the one is looking good but the other 2 aren't as healthy looking but it did just loose the shells off the seed hopefully a day or 2 n there be where the other one is
