ok man now let's go into details.
i got 3 clones from my friend, to run some tests in my ebb/flow system.

Nutrients: how do you mix you nutes and how much? i have HG and i was thinking to use micro and bloom since the both give the best balance of nutrients.
Reservoir...i put everything together last night and put some GH nutes, and ph 5.8...this morning i notice the ph was 7s...why this happened? and what should i do in this case to put the ph down again?
im flooding my tables 3 times of 15 min/ day.... also i got my TDS meter i was wondering how to use! what the numbers you use to grow and flowering stage...also i don't understand how you put control the PPM , like what about if you have the ppm to high, how do you put back dow and vice versa....
well i now its lots of question, but like i told you work/school both full times, i wrote all my questions down to send you this weekend ....thanks bro .....
hey man. the reason your ppm are going is prob because of evaporated water. if you mix nutes at bottles suggestion in 10 gallons and the next day 1 gallon of water has evaporated then your ppm will go up and therefore your ph. chances are most of your water loss in the res is due tue evaporation and not the plant using it. espessially in ebb and flow where the water is moving with a large surface area exposed to the air. its prob that. try using aquarium buffer. it holds ph well. good luck man they look good

and to lower the ppm just add straight water. phed of course. and after mixing. ph is always taken after mixing. you start bloom nutes only after flowers show.

I see what your saying 1982, but I don't think It could change that much in 1 day. His ppm more than doubled. I think he would not lose that much water. How much did your water go down ray. You need to keep track of that. And depending on the nutes, with the GH stuff if your ppm goes up your ph most likely will go down ?? That's the way mine does. I don't know much about ebb and flow but your right about the surface area 1982. Which can have the water evaporate much quicker than some other systems. I have seen someone mention to cover the tub with plastic w/ holes for the plants to come through. Helps keep the moisture in and cut down on algae build up. ray, try posting over here also. The only thing I think could make that happen that fast is a problem in the system. Maybe it should be flushed and some h202 put in to clean things up. I had a problem with my ph jumpimg like that, but it was because I put molasses in before I knew you don't do that with hydro. Causing root rot and throwing things off big time, ph up to like 9. Don't know what it did to the ppm though since I didn't have a meter yet.
Try posting on this thread ray:https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/112167-hydroponics-question-answer-newgrowth-style.html
Or put up a question in the help section. Wish I could tell you more.

yah man. if its not that then who knows. but the aquarium buffer works well and like i said before. the ppm shooting up can only happen because of loss of water or it dissolved slow and you should add less and check the ppm after 10 minutes. technically there is no other way for ppm to go up. either you added more nutes or water has been removed. the only other thing it could be is that you have a massive buildup in your medium and it is dissloving when you change the res to fresh solution. there really isnt anything else it could be. the ph thing is just different among nutes. never used those before. good luck. also check the inside of the pipes for buildup. it could be dissolving into the res. try running straight water throught the system for 12 hours to dissolve any buildups in the pipes. then do a regular res change. n ebb and flow every day a wave of water in the tube can hit a higher point. if that point is not hit again before the water evaporates then saly buildup will occur. i guarantee there is powder on the upper sides of the insides of the tubes. ok now good luck it has to be covered now. its math and has to be 1 of these things.

ok guys i got the point...thanks 1982 growers and hashlover.
im in school right now till 6 when i go back home and take a look my ph and ppm.. and i post some update for you guys. i will stop by at wall mart and get some aquarium buffer.(1982growers, i just put this system together about 2 weeks ago, do you really think we should consider the salt buit up in the medium? i use hydroton)...i will post later again

not just salt buildup in the medium but in the pipes also. when the water runs through the pipes certain amounts of water will hit higher levels on the sides of the tubes inside. if another bit of water doesnt hit that point for a day or more then whatever was in the water will be stuck to the edge of the pipe. its the same as salt creep on an aquarium. if you could see the inside of your pipes right above the water line there is prob buildup. but yes your medium could store alot of buildup also

I know what you are saying 1982, but he has just had this system together for 2 weeks. I also know what you mean about the ppm's going up and down. Something to think about the point you bring up about buildup in pipes and system though. He was using tap water before this change to distilled. the tap was 500 ppm!!!! Just another guess maybe to much left from that and they need a good flush.

i just say it has to be 1 of thos things because dissolved or undissolved particles cant come from nothing. there has to be a buildup and now that you say 2 weeks that is the perfect time for buildup to occur. i have a feeling there is buildup in the pipes. something cant come from nothing. there is a buildup somewhere and 2 weeks could easily do it. hope you figure it out man. if youve tried everything i would say run straight water through the system for several hours and maybe shake the tubes a bit if you can so the water rinses high up the tubes. or its algae. lol. it has to be 1 of those things.

The hempster sounds good man. I know what you mean, There has to be something there to show those results. ray, do like we are saying and flush them with plain water. But not your tap water. I would not want to use it with so high of a ppm. You need distilled or RO. If you can, try to flush the pots and system at least a little and dump it out. Then fill it up with enough water to run it. Let it run through a few cycles, one after another and check the ppm each time it drains back. Also check it before you start (right after you fill). If it goes up every time then you will know it is something in the system that is causing it. Let us know your results. Good luck. I'l be up for a while still. A friend might be bringing over a few Jack Herer cuttings for me !!! Don't know if m/f yet though.

As a bit of a rookie also I like to use revive when I'm having problems. I flush my plants once a month and once they are drained out I'll water lightly with revive and it corrects any defeciencies. I too use fox farm the three pack and everything seems to be looking pretty good. I guess it's okay to have a few bad leaves here and there. For me I have problems figuring out if its over nuted or under nuted. Does anybody have a black and white answer for this? If some bottom leaves turn yellow or get dead looking it could be over or under nuted right? Which one is it? Thanks for the help.

Like 1982 said there is a lot more to it than that. But most time yellow from the bottom up most times is under but mostly only low in 'N'. Check out this thread:http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=11688

I didnt go through the whole thing.

But from what i can see its a severe case of P deficiency and possibly a mix of others such as N and Potassium.

I recommend 12 hour foilar feeding after adding nutrients to the soil.
