zabrak i would seriously have to consider my total agreement because my first 2 test grows of bag seed (Decent) and Purple kush were some of the stickiest sweetest smelling smoke i have ever grown...maybe it has something to do with the proximity to foliage thing.. 2-3'' they say for CFL grows but cfl sure do produce sticky.

+Porrista your over mothering your plants and i believe that would be nutrient burn so adding more nutes will NOT i repeat NOT resolve your issue...maintain ph'd water feeding ONLY until the yellowing stops and keep me posted

I used CFLs last year and I recall very good flavor and odor indeed. I specially remember a Royal Dwarf that has a flavor I never tested before or again.

I added Dry CoolBloom a couple of weeks ago and in the last watering, it is supposed to help increase terpenes production and the bud I cut from the AK was cut early in the light cycle before those terpenes evaporated. The AK is smelling sweet but not as strong as the WW. BioBoos is also supposed to help with terpenes production.

I will do a smoke report, last year I harvested another AK that was finished outdoors and it smelled sweet as well, but I don't recall anything great from its smell or flavor, except that the high was strong.

That is what I thought and that's why I only added BioBoost + Epsom. I flushed with water + PH but I added so much water and PHup that I was afraid of washing out the nutrients and leaving the plant starving while it is most needed. I will definitely wait for more signs and post pics, it would suck if this plant also has flowering problems due to nutes.

Weird thing is that I used the same soil and nutes all last year and I never got nute burn, in fact, I was happy with this recipe because last year all plants had no problems at all, but they were also grown either in CFL or vegged in CFL and ended outdoors. Maybe LED makes this recipy vary.

Have you looked up what WW likes as to its Soil PH ? i am at a loss of why your plant is still yellowing because as far as i can tell it does not look deficient. kudos to maintaining your girls and hopefully time will help your little yellowing issue

My grow was black jack. I usually only have a grow show putdoo4s. ..lol. Sry . both I and my brother .have a grow, 77.35 grms per plant by big bud. . I managed 50grms off

Not sure about terpens and potency, so far I think potency has to do with the trichomes to leaf proportion. e.g. When you read 17% THC, it means that out 10g of plant material, 1.7g are THC, other effect could come from CBD. Terpenes, are not related to the THC molecule.

On the other hand, UV spectrum makes the plant create more resin ( trichomes ) to protect the plant, and specially the reproductive organs and seeds from UV, because UV alters DNA and can cause mutations. Regular household CFLs are low in UV and they are also filtered, while LEDs have been built specifically to provide UV to the plants 1x3w diode of UV on the P150, 2 in the P300.

I just checked on the ladies and I see no more yellowing since yesterday, hope it stays like that for a few more days while she drinks the water. The AK has not been watered since last week, about a week ago when it was flushed, the pot is still a little heavy.

Also, I couldn't resist the smell and the temptation and just took a small hit from the not-yet-dry bud I cut 2 days ago from the AK.

The flavor is really sweet and fruity, although I cannot identify the fruit flavor, it doesn't resemble any known flavor to me other than "sweet weed.". Despite being only 2 days after cutting I feel no harsh flavors when inhaling, and the taste lasts for several hits the same weed ( probably because it is still not dry it is not burning properly ) , flavor lasted until the the ashes were white after a couple of hits I felt a bit of harshness in my throat, like when you eat spices, but nothing to be bothered about, it disappeared in a few seconds. I bet the smoke will be totally smooth in a few more days.

I feel a bit head stoned and a little relaxed and tipsy, like when you are half drunk and everything moves a bit.

That AK looks amazing and your WW is nothing short of stunning in that first flowering flourish.

Regarding the AK, The bud is now weighing 2.9g, I have taken 2 hits from it today, so probably 3g or 3.1g as today, but it has a lot of humidity still. Now I think the AK won't yield even 1oz.

I think the smell is somewhat like citronella + green small mango, like sweet lemony-mango bug repellent or something like that. The bud is also very airy, not dense and the high is fine. Again, like heavy in the head, a bit tipsy.

I'm a bit disappointed with the yield of that bud that was supposed to be the main cola.

Thinking on using Colloidal silver on on the branches to try to make fem seeds out of it.

Have a few doubts:

1- Is it too late for the WW?
2- Can I spray the lower popcorn buds of the branch instead of the cola?
3- Thinking that #2 will give me some more time as I can later cut the colas and let the lower sprayed branch staty and produce seeds and receive more light when producing seeds.

WW Update: I saw no yellow leaves yesterday, no signs of anything.
AK update: watered with Dry KoolBloom + BioBoost yesterday. A lot of yellowing without spots going on.

I don't see why you couldn't just spray a popcorn. Then you could take some of that pollen and dust whatever bud sites you wanted. Pollen goes a long way.

I just finished my CS with 30PPM using a TDS, I started getting a grey layer on the bottom and I read that was because of saturation and larger particles being created so I stopped there. Filtered the solution a couple of time with a coffee filter and sprayed this bud site at the bottom of the plant.

Pics are from a calyx on both sides, one side has almost no dark trichomes, the other has lots of it as you can see. The rest of the plant is still finishing ( last pic )

Also, based on how the pass from clear to dark in a few days, should I be cutting my plant by now? I was waiting to see more milky and amber. (AK47)

Quick Update:

- Yesterday I harvested 5 colas, left the rest of the AK alone, 2 more small colas + small buds remain.
- Yesterday I added water with Epsom+Canna AB + BioBoost to the WW, today I saw a couple of brown spots on totally green leafs. PPM was 490.
- Today I added more water with roasted eggshells + epsom to balance the CA/Mg. PH was 6.5-7 without any additive. The WW still looks very promising.

- I have been misting a couple of lower bud sites with homemade CS, twice at day.

Checked the WW, definitely something going on, took some pics to have something to compare to tomorrow, and some of the AK.

Yesterday I had to cut a bunch of yellow and rusted leaves. did a flush again, I just can't get the @@#@# runoff to be above 6.5.

Yesterday I put aside the syringe and spent about 1/2 bottle of PHup, the water simply keeps coming out at around 5. Ended up adding water with Sodium Bicabornate, measure PPM of runoff and it was almost 1000, so left it there. I may check again in a while when the lights come on. Is it that I don't know how to use the PHup?

Any ideas/thought on how to lower my PH and why it is going too low?

It is the same soil and nutes I have always used, just that this time I'm having constant troubles with the PH. Could it be that there are too many microbes causing the soil PH to go down? -- the water always comes up amber, it doesn't get any clearer than that.

I did a flush today again, until water came up more clear and ppm was 175ppm. PH was hard to tell, slightly green, almost 6.5-7.. not sure..I think I need a soil PH meter for the next grow. Need to do some shopping..

The runoff water was way too dark today, not sure why, looks like if something had break down during the night with the PH change and it released this tincture. I know the recipient is now red but I also used the thin recipient and the water looked the same, no sediments, just that color.

BTW, I forgot to tell that last night I chopped the rest of the AK, weighted the initial 5 buds and got 11g dry. 8.7g in the buds you see in the pic + 2g from a couple of main colas I already smoked and were a little airy and I estimate on 1g each one to be sure I'm not over counting.

I think I never saw so many trichomes in my CFL and Outdoor grows before, same strain.

Today I noticed more advancing on the problem. Rusty spots like P def. Tested a runoff and the water was again black, flushed slowly until I could get a more clear runoff and the last water was with Coco AB + Bioboost. PH at 6.5+

Will wait and see.

PS: Ordered paper PH tests and soil PH meters.
