Are you still working on the new Dannyboy cross? I've been trying to find a cut of the original Dannyboy for a while now and have had no luck.
 
Oh ok, I must have been too medicated when I heard you were workin on a new cross. Hopefully I'll find a cut one of these days if its still circulating around. I know it doesn't mean as much now but I'm sorry for your loss, Danny sounded like an awesome guy.
 
Does anyone have any suggestions as to which base medium would be best to germinate seeds in before placing them in the supersoil? Also how long should you veg the new plants before transferring them to the pots with supersoil/base mix? Just curious on any personal opinions. Thanks

Roots Organics for base soil. A good rule of thumb is 1 gallon for every 1 month of growth. Veg in a 1 gallon pot for 1 month then transplant into 7 gallon pots with the bottom 1/4 to 1/2 being SS and fill the pot the rest of the way with your base soil. (Note) If you notice any type of nutrient deficiency while vegging in the 1 gallon pots (prior to the 1 month time frame) transplant into the 7 gallon pots at this time.
 
Hey guys I live in Colorado and its not exactly warm here right now so what should i do about the sunbake? i can leave it in the sun during the day but temps arent getting above 50 with any regularity. sorry if this has been asked but i am not sure what to do
 
yes it is warmer in the house but not by too much. i run space heaters in the bedrooms and living rooms...would it be ok to just leave it in the basement with a space heater running?
 
The concept of the "cook" doesn't mean like in an oven. Sub is using the 30 day period to wake up mircrobes and begin their lives. These microbes are all aerobic organisms and in my opinion sealing off your soil would make it anaerobic therefore opening the door for the bad organisms to live instead of the good ones. If anybody is interested or has the time to do the research I will offer a few links here that might help clear up the whole confusion with the importance of the microorganisms and their ability to nutrient cycle.

sub, i have been researching your nutrient recipe for quite some time, and i had a quick question as to how i can make everything taste even better. I was wondering if using organic tea's such as, "bountea," would improve your taste and yield? And whats in that little tiny jar up at the top? you say in your mixing video its a "secret ingredient." what does it do? (by the way subcool you are the shit!! nobody holds it down quite like you when it comes to growing weed)
 
Thanks...yeah, I have the lids cracked. I didnt consider bad micro's starting, I know that I have to vent my carboys when I make beer and I figure its kinda the same concept. It would be cool to have enough microbial action to pop one open though! That would wake somebody up.. When I was a kid we made some muscadine wine and some of the bottles exploded under the house. Sounded like a gun. I wasn't gonna put the pickle barrels in the oven though....lol....

It is quite amazing all the science involved not only in brewing beer but growing marijuana as well. Most people think you just throw some grain in boiling water with some hops, then throw that in a fermenter with some yeast and voila! you got beer. When in fact steeping temps as well as boil temps bring out different protein compounds that effect head retention and mouth feel as well as sugar molecule structures that bring out wanted and unwanted flavors. Same with MJ most people think you throw a seed in some soil add water and light and BAM! you got a plant. Little do people think about microbes and nutrients and photosynthesis and how it all coincides. And they say people who smoke and drink are stupid. What a load of crap! I guess they didn't watch the celebrity jeopardy episodes in which Cheech Marin won! Sorry if I'm just babbling but I just smoked some of my medicine for my back and I tend to think ALOT when I do. You gotta love how brewing and growing goes hand in hand! I suppose I should shut up now but before I do I have to ask you if you are related to the famous dogman Bob Hemphill?
