true it is alot, i know i def wouldnt be able to do it right now anyways because of how much power it would draw, i could switch it to soil and that would get rid of more then half the crap right there haha, i might be able to run that right now if i did it with soilYou've really done your homework.
This setup is cool and all but the maintenance seems like a headache and then some. Too many moving parts in the equation for my liking.
this is just awesome thanks for that visualso i couldn't sleep last night so started messing around in Photoshop putting together a rough sketch of what i want to do for my indoor growing area
Alright so what this is, i want to build a grow area 12ft long X 3ft deep X 7 or 8ft tall.
its mostly modeled after the thread get a harvest every 2 weeks. I have the 6 different areas each area 2'X3'X7'
each area except for the clones has 2 containers, 1 res and 1 grow container with each one containing the spray nozzels and pump for aero.
the clone area in the middle is a bit different. i live is the la area and summers here can get into the triple digits and i dont have ac here. So i already know the main problem im gonna have with doing aero or hydro here is my rez tanks will get too warm and root rot and other nasty crap will occur. So while looking through the DIY i found a thread about a cheap cooler for rez tanks. And what it does he took a mini fridge and had a pump pumping the water from the rez through a tube that gos into the fridge and wraps around the middle rack that is in between the fridge and freezer part, the water is then sent back to the rez and he said he keeps an easy constant 68 i think he said. So what i did was set up the mini fridge under the clones(clones dont need a double chamber i think since they will only be rooting in it) i then have a shelf the fridge is sitting on, and under the shelf i have 6 pumps that are circulating the water to each individual rez. The biggest problem i see with this is the ones that are farther away, that is alot of hose it has to go through, it may not be able to keep it cool. Alright so anyways that is what the fridge is about.
Since i would want to do this SCROG style ill have to attach a pvc frame of some type to each lid for the screen to go on, in the picture the yellow bars are the pvc frame the red lines are the scrog nets.
so every 2 weeks when they needed to be switched to the new "room" i would just pull the lid off the container with plants, roots scrog net and all, and put it on the next one.(do roots wrap themselves around the pvc frame in aero systems? that is a problem i can see running into when i got to switch them to the next room)
So the room would be made out of 1x2s or 2x4s. If i decide to put plywood over the frame then ill use 2x4s, but if i just attach the mylar right to the frame ill use 1x2s. so the walls will either be just mylar or plywood covered in mylar. There will be a fan behind each plant blowing the heat out through a vent in each door(ill cover the vent during 12/12 dark since the lights wont be creating heat anyways)
Mother Station:i have a 2ft t5 2 bulb running 24/0
Clone Station: same as mother station(darkness for first 8 or so hours after clones first go in)
0-2 week station: T5 2 ft 2 bulb 12/12
2-4 week station: 150w hps 2 56k 23ws 2 5k 23ws 12/12
4-6 week station: 150w hps 2 56k 23ws 2 5k 23ws 12/12
6-8 week station: 2 150w hps 2 56k 23ws 2 5k 23ws 12/12( i read buds get most dense in the last 2 weeks so i figured id throw 2 150ws in there.
i know it isnt a ton of light in each area but for a 2'x3' Scrog with 2 plants i think i can get a decent 2-3 ounces every 2 weeks i think.
anyways enough stoned rambling for now
haha thanks, and np, sleep deprivation and mj can create wonderful thingsthis is just awesome thanks for that visual
