2014 BBQ planning?.......

I had way too much fun not to be at ALL the next ones!
Maybe a few extra trash cans down with the BBQ?
I'll pitch-in with sumthing cause next year I'll have a motorhome.
Maybe I won't get so lost, I mean really a 2 1/2 hr drive from Marysville?
.............It's only 12mi!lol

I think I might rent a mailbox for about 3 months prior to the next fall harvest pig roast. If you'er a legacy attendee of any previous BBQ's, you can just bring $20 to put in the donation jar. (And it doesn't matter which bbq, they all qualify). For that $20, I'll have an RV for us to use all weekend, a pig roast Saturday, & firewood for the weekend.
Anyone who has not previously attended a bbq, can mail $20 in advance to the P.O. box ....you still have the Spring 420 bbq coming up, to qualify for 'legacy' status..........see you there....

I have a feeling you charging people is going to create less of a turn out. I thought the pot luck idea was pretty good from the bbq before. There was more than enough food.

I think we'll reserve the pig roast for the 3 day fall (after harvest) bbq. Maybe the 'Spring Fling' BBQ should be more of a 1 day weenie roast & gift exchange. Gather up for the day and discuss the upcoming season. What do you think?.....

Well it's only $20, and there was a lot of $$ that went into the "pot luck" that someone paid for.....if paying $20 for firewood & pig, turns people off...so be it, then it will just be the rest of us.....

I agree 20$ isnt much. But I think you're wanting a bigger crowd if I am not mistaken. I am sure the next bbq will probably be the same core people which is awesome. At least people are starting to get to know each other. Either way I like coming out!

Not a bigger crowd, I just want to know how many. The first BBQ I brought a camper & trailer. I felt we could have used them again this time. Everybody stood around the campfire all day & fed it wood. These things don't just fall from the sky....

Well after sleeping on it for another day. And considering all the alternatives......I'm afraid it would change things too much. It's obvious that were never going to get a really huge turnout. I think we'll just leave it as is......I'll donate a pig. But it would make it nice if everyone pitched in $10 to cover $200 firewood & $200 to rent RV for the weekend, but not essential......I'd like to keep this annual event, I really enjoy seeing everyone, and hearing the stories of each seasons travails.......let's just leave things as they are.....:eyesmoke:

Dancing girls/strippers?
Don't beat yourself up brother, it's their loss. Much more there than weed and pig. People were dishing out TONS of knowledge and tips with samples to back their advise. I go for the good company and the common interest I have with others and to sample different strains. Nice to hear the growers talk about what they grew and their techniques.
Stay safe...
TMB-

I have to agree with treeman, I look foreward to the BBQ more than I do the "Holidays" with family. We have more in common....

We'll do something in April...but not a pig roast. Maybe we can do a 1 day 'flash mob' bbq, just before outdoor planting season.

We should have a "weedster egg hunt" on April 20th, maybe do a BBQ thing over the whole weekend? That sounds like fun to me anyways, as long as its in the right spot. I prefer more forested places. There are quite a few places that are really nice on private land. What region this time?

I have a winabego for community cooking and what not if need be!

Land I have a pop up tent trailer hasn't been registered for a few years it's got beds but sorta janky but maybe I could slap a current sticker on and drag it
