Thanks always..... Most people can't/won't stay more than 1 day. A few that travel, extend it for convenience. But the actual "BBQ" is on a Sat. Nobody is stuck on a pig roast, it was just something I am willing to donate & cook for the cause. In the past other growers have catered BBQ brisket dinner to the tune of $800 for the group. What many people fail to see is how much $$ & effort goes on behind the scene & prior too. It's all donated with love, but somebody has to do it.
We've tried the whole 'make a list' approach, with mixed results. If somebody doesn't show, & was responsible for something critical, we're sunk. Your setting yourself up for failure, with the list....
I have budgeted $1000 next year to make sure the Fall 2014 BBQ happens. My gift to this community.......you can mark your calendar for Dec 13th.....see you there.
