It did not. I'm telling you it did not, because I have read the literature. Who ever said that, it was not NASA, as they and NOAA concluded UNEQUIVOCALLY that 2014 was DEFINITELY the hottest year on record. That is what they concluded, not that it probably was, as you have been arguing was their conclusion.
This all stems from your lack of understanding of "Ranking of Record Years".

That's why it says Ranking of Record Years at the top, ya dingus.
Feel free to point out which year you think was hotter than 2014 though.

Yeah, I saw it when you linked to it. That quote was unattributed. You're incorrectly "concluding"' that it was attributed to NASA.

You have no idea what the basis of the conclusion is, as you have not read the material which accompanied the chart, which clearly lays out the methodology. Furthermore, the conclusion is unequivocal, if it were not, it would be a different conclusion, so we are indeed debating what the conclusion was.

It was unattributed. If I had attributed it, it would have been to Gavin Schmidt, Director of NASA's Goddard Institute for Space Studies, speaking on behalf of NASA about the report. But, I didn't.

It was clearly and obviously falsely attributed to NASA. If you're now saying that the director of GISS said that, citation required. I can't find it anywhere in any NASA publication.

Untrue, at no point did I attribute that to NASA. But, he's the director responsible for the NASA report under debate and he speaks for NASA on that topic, you do the math.
Quotes to independent press organizations don't go in NASA publications, nice try. It wasn't in Hustler magazine either, it must be false.
