Hey there friend, so I'm beginning to become more and more intrigued with the hash process. Back in the day, when hash came through it was considered a special thing. Only certain people had it in bulk, <once had a german friend have a Mercedes shipped over with a trunk full, and I mean full, of beautiful blonde hash> and even though it was hard to find, I remember it was $10 a gram.
Also knew some Air Force guys that would travel, once brought home some Lebanese black hash, striated with opium, same guy brought home some real Thai stick, tied up with a string for what purpose I dont know, I was young then.
Sigh.
Anyhow, cut to 2000 whatever, and thus clown wants to know if I wanna 'smoke some killer hash?
Been so long, after I dealt with my boner, I saw it was Black! So excited!
So dejected. Bubble hash? Wtf? Shit made with alcohol, butane, weird shit.
So disappointed.
I wanna make real hash. Straight rub your hands together and ball it up. I heardsomething about 'hashballs' but, not enough.
I'd love to make a few kilos of actual hash just to last me and family through the winter.
I'm down with the Tirah, hope it fulfills my dreams.

Drysift is the way to go then press with some heat.

When you say 'drysift' can you tell me a little more about the process? Are there screens involved?
Have you ever heard of Temple Balls? Is that hash?
I use a silk screen on a 2x2 wood frame, Dry your product i mean very crunchy dry, freeze it in turkey bags crush lightly while frozen an shake it thur the screen the trick is dont over work it. i heat an press mine between warm cast iron once its melted together take chunks an roll them in your hands into balls if you want black all the way thur keep rolling it the longer the blacker. OH by the way i use #90 silk mesh can be bought on amazon comes with a frame attached. I smoked real temple ball very early 70s this is real close without the opium

I've heard the only issue is the shelf life. Has to be used considerably sooner than properly stored flower. That's why not a lot of people delve. But I'm gonna cowboy up with it. Usually not a problem to find a hand that would like some hash pressed into it :hump: :leaf::leaf::leaf::peace:

Stealthfader thank you for the intel, definitely gives me some deep winter workshop fun.
Meantime, pain in the ass daily schedules getting the pantry laid out.
Even though my curing is always a work in progress, practice makes perfect, always good bongsmilie in the end.
This year had some good results. Even cured, I pick a bud apart in all its goeyness, by lunch or afternoon, the pieces are dried enough for my initial spliff. Mornings finds me looking for the half jibber and usually finding it. But I still love my raspberry jam and canna butter on toast.
1 teaspoon, no more.
Makes for a fine day.

Hey interesting thing happened to me last night. I threw what looked like some schwaggy foxtailed odd bud that was very thick with resin. Tossed it in the schwag bag, then saw it on there and said to my self, I said, 'self, this schwag looks interesting.'
Anyways, rolled up, had a VERY distinct smell. I just couldn't place it but it was distinct.
Now I've grown a lot of weed that at times has a wide range of scent. Some shit smells like, well, shit. Piney, froo-tay,
Damn-that-smells-like-a-skunk, but this weed. I wanted to say rosemary. But it wasn't.
It was sage. Serious.
Smelled and smokes like sweet sage. Well, smells like that anyway. Uncanny.
What's the most memorable smelling weed you've grown?

I use pennies in copper tubing to press kief in a vice, just like the blonde we had in the ‘70’s. Dry, dry, dry buds in the coffee grinder then shake/sift throw a Market B*sket reusable coffee filter, the screen is 125. Get a gram and a half from ten grams. Just shake and sift, don’t stir it cuz the 125 is a tad over 90.

What’s on your platter today? Just took all the random stuff that was kicking around from seed branches, broken branches and salvage from mold trimming, about a quarter pound worth I’d guess, and tossed it into the linen closet with the baby dehumidifier to get it ready for dry sift. Let the Hashish Games begin -

Anyone following along in this thread have a source in eastern MA for dry ice? About to order some Omaha steaks just to get some dry ice.
Eastern MA is a pretty vague description. I personally reside in Central MA, but if it’s me… I’d be googling it. Got to be a location somewhere in a reasonable distance. Gotta be cheaper than a freak’n order from Omaha! Lol :lol:
