2nd attempt at 1st grow...problems again :-(

wow! Is all I can say...yesterday I cleaned up the grow room, and noticed the glass on the light was a bit streaked, so I heard they get more light if you remove the glass, so did..and spent my first night away in ages...the plants GREW while I was gone (NOT watching therm, lol)
I didnt change any settings so that is why it's strange the uploader changed to only able to do 4 pics at a time, used to be able to hit the cntrl button and pick as many as I wanted...I use firefox...maybe I should try it on ie.
HAD to post a pic of wow much the girls grew overnight...all the 4-5 day olds are working on 2nd and 3rd leafs, and all that just broke ground yesterday were almost 2" this morning! had a bit of stretch, because I put them on the edge of where the light shines bright, on the periphery(so it wouldn't be too much for them)
I am overall very happy with their progress and even may be able to start 12/12 soon on the 6 biggest ladies (maybe when they reach 5 wks on Monday, though I would like them to be 16-18", they seem to finally be catching up!)I'll have to measure but I am guessing they are only 8"-10" tops.

That 1 uploaded a LOT quicker than when I tried yesterday...will try a few more

I should try that..lol..BUT I have babies still in solo cups that are a big % perlite, so I have to mist them daily to keep the soil/perlite moist..they are really doing well...*Puffs up chest*the 1 bubblegum, can't cypher whattt it needs, tried ^ the N..shes still on the yellowish side...yellow-lt green mottled...and they all get the same food, so maybe shes a genetic freak or something

so remember that twig of a clone, the romulan graprfruit that lost all of it's foliage...(that is it pictured above) has reallyy filled out, so I thought I'd try something on her, since she was almost compost anyway..I FIM'd the new growth in the 6 places shes been putting out lotsa new growth, hoping, at least, may get some upward branching since she is just a V shaped twig, basically...hoping that she shoots up, her once wood-tree'ish looking stem is even getting greenish lines in it, a good sign I reckon..haha..
I am so loving this now that things aren't dying!!!!
I want to give a shout out to lime and mat, without whom I wouldn't be where I am at with this grow now, you guys are the epitome of paying it forward, or good karma...something, and I sooo appreciate every comment, every tidbit of wisdom you both pass along to me, you guys really are the best, I owe ya, bigtime!
And I picked like 6 grams of each of the new strains I am growing tonight at the co-op, and big bud is some reallly awesome smoke!
Just can't find anyone with the bubblegum yet, but I am cruising craigslist regularly (yes, here people give away all their leftovers over 24 ounces for "donations" for nutes and electric...how awesome is that! Never thought I would see the day you could get buds legally online, LOL.
ciao 4 now...I am going to sleep whilst my girls are in there growin like mo-fo's!
Oh one more question, I did put the Metal halide back up but have been keeping it on 24/day, can seedlings go 6 hrs in the dark, or would I screw em up by changing the light hours per day?
The disp dude bummed me out telling me feminized seeds are shit(I told him I may have some extras.he said he'd only take REG seeds that are fem, not feminized) and that tons of ppl get hermies, so I am starting to be worried about that, as I think the bubbles are getting the hair thingys at the stem/leaf meets..I can't remember what I called them, but he was like, ok then, they're males, toss them...almost had a heart attack on the spot!
There I go thinking too much again, damn this plant sometimes!!

Mh you will want your girls to rest...seedlings will be fine switching to 18/6 or 20/4...no shock... to rest/sleep. keeping it 24 hrs with the mh can cause heat-stress and slow growth.

No males don't have hairs(pistols) coming from the calyx/bract... never toss a plant til you are 100% positive its a male and showing Balls, clusters. its like saying if a plant it tall or stretchy must be a male???wtf...lol

ok! I'm high so I finally figured out HOW I can explain what is wrong with one lil miss bubble..I've described her as lighter green than the rest/ and green/yellow mottled...but decided the ole feel test may help...so I was just putting the girls to bed, and I got to looking...at every leaf, and new branch on every plant...feeling is key!
All the bubbles have soft/almost velvet feeling leaves, now 'trouble bubble', as I affectionately call her, her leaves feel...almost fake, like crisp but still smooth, just a platic-y feeling, and what the pics don't show too clearly, is her leaves are like yellow/green in diff spots...almost like a two tone plant
does that sound like any known def. problem anyone is aware of?

Oh wonderful..was worried about the ^^$ w/ running that 24 hrs.So kewl, tonight they get their first sleep (the 2 new sets of seedlings)awesome..

I know when I was explaining the hair looking things and he said that I thought, shit..for all I know he's never grown, LOL..I mean lots of ppl are opening disps.

ok, they ARE fungus gnats and now there are TWO stuck on my sticky things....I read they don't do damage at adult stage, is this true...and my soil HAS that D earth stuff that is supposed to kill anything larvae like that hatches in the soil and tries to come out of the soil..?

Leafs are getting chewed looking though...damn!
I have some go-gnats that a friend gave me when I had my 1st set of plants and he gave me a couple plants that were infested..this is the first I am seeing of them...and i move around the top layers of soil quite a bit (probably not the best idea, but I like to see and feel the soil)
ok so I am going to use this go gnats, need to google how to use it, he wrote on the bottle he put it in to spray on plants, seems it needs to be IN the soil though...
damnit...Friday the 13th...not even funny!

UPS played a mean friday the 13th joke on me. told me he was delivering my 400w HID light yesterday and it never showed up

cant tell you if its a fungus gnat but if you let the top layer of the soil dry out or put some sand on it they wont be attracted to it anymore and will go elswhere. so i have heard. i had a gnat issue and bought some pesticide spray thats rated for veggies, its early enough in the flowering stage where i can get away with spraying them for a couple more weeks.

ok, I'm getting troubles...again. The new growth appears to be getting chlorosis, not just a tad light green, but actual yellowing in leaves..will try uploading some pics but they aren't the best for showing

new growth is generally a little lighter colored than the older growth

I take that back, now the new growth tips look like white stringy stuff, like all the new foliage is fried or something now what should I do??!!
since the new growth tips are looking dead should I top them? damnnnnit..oh and this morning I also noticed, all the biggest plants I put in the 3.8 gal pots, all have roots coming out the bottom side holes and are air pruning themselves, aren't they a bit small to have roots coming out the bottom, those are supposed to do ok with a 3-4' plant!

I am about the freaking give up
