Hello all, and welcome to my new grow journal!! I'm really excited to be starting this, although I put it off for a bit.
For any who haven't seen, here's a bit about my last grow:
2x600w scrog in a 3x8 cab
Strains: 1 Purple Kush, 2 Super Silver Haze, 4 Strawberry Cough
Total yield: 13.9oz dry
I ran into one problem after another in that grow (just take a look at the journal
). I finally figured out that a major problem is the acidity of FFOF, but the damage had already been done to those plants. I'm extremely happy to walk away with a very successful yield, and all the bud turned out great (minus one of four strawberry plants that was all popcorn bud). So after many lessons learned and an expansion into an additional room, I'm starting a journal, hopefully I update it a little more often than the last. I think I will, as it will be a muuuch more exciting journal. So the basics of my new 3000w multi-strain, multi-system grow.
2x600w + 1x105w cfl in the same 3x8 cab, screen installed is 3x10=30sq ft of screen. My goal from this cab is 32 oz, and would like to improve, or at least maintain, the quality of my previous harvest.
- I have 3 of each: Platinum OG, Purple Kush, Super Lemon Haze, from left to right in the cab.
- FoxFarm OF/HF + perlite, lime
- Foxfarm nutrient trio
1400w (1x600; 2x400) in a 5x10 tent. Again, I'd like to focus on quality, as this is for medicinal purposes, though I would like to get a similar yield out of this tent.
- Waterfarm 8 pack with Tahoe OG; Dyna-Gro line: Grow, Bloom, Mag-pro, Pro-tekt; h2o2
- 2 individual diy dwc buckets: 1 SLH, 1 still TBD from attitudes "lucky 7" promo. Suggestions?
- These 2 plants will use the free nutes I got with the waterfarm(not enough for a full run of tahoe og and I don't want to buy more)
Veg tent is set up with ~280w, and as of right now is a just bunch of clones and one Platinum OG mother. I built a bubble cloner (interchangeable with dwc lids too) and bought a 32 site aerocloner. The aerocloner so far has given me one plant with roots. 7 of these cuts were taken 4 weeks ago, and 10 others were taken 9 days ago, also with no sign of roots. pH is 5.6-6.0,water temp 65.5-70.0, air temp 65-75, 1tsp/gal hormex, 1ml h2o2, ppm around 250 from tap, 270 treated. Any ideas why only one plant has roots, even though it was taken from the same plant at the same time in the same method as six others that have done nothing?
Again, welcome and feel free to comment, critique, ask questions, or just shoot the shit throughout the course of the thread, as long as it remains grow oriented. My knowledge has come almost entirely from following journals and just reading on this forum, and I hope this can be informative for myself and any other readers.

A couple improvements since last run:
Controlled temps!!! Oscillating fan + box fan underneath; Another canopy fan + 105w cfl
