Alright, time for the weight and smoke reports: I'm a little high to be doing this properly, so bear with me. And that should be a good way to sum up these reports by the way
These are my first, so let me know if I forget something.
Tahoe OG came in low as expected, just over 20 oz. Low considering 1600w was originally on 7 of these in the waterfarms, and their size(4'x3'), but it wasn't too bad considering I beat a pretty substantial case of root aphids mid-flower that took out a week of growth and cost me 1 plant, leaving me with 6 limp girls that took almost another week to get back to health, in what would have been an otherwise smooth grow.
The Tahoe girls were definitely more vigorous than my soil plants, but not as much as the DWC Moby Dick. This was my first run in the system, but I had a great growing experience all things considered. The strain itself was more like a vine than any other plant I've grown, and with such little bud on each shoot I was disappointed to still find the branches barely able/unable to support themselves at all. I highly recommend proper training methods for this strain. I LST'd to end up with bushes, but didn't trellis or cage them, so I ended up having to tie up almost every branch individually.
Smell: 5/10 nothing special, but a nice spicy/sweet smell not overly strong
Bag appeal: 7/10 nice color, crystals everywhere, but not dense enough to get a better rating
Taste: 7/10 Somewhat spicy, not lemony or fuely as often described. I like the taste but it's nothing that really stands out.
Potency/high: 8/10 Great high, strong head buzz almost floating feeling that makes it hard to want to go work in the garage or outside. Enough of a body stone to enjoy, but not stick to the couch. I prefer a more functioning high and I feel dumb after smoking this stuff, so I should grade this lower, but even not being my daily preference it's one of the best for what it is: an end-of-day bake session when NOTHING needs to happen(rare around here).
Moby Dick yielded 50g, just shy of 2oz. Awesome considering this seed was just germinating when my Tahoe clones were about 12" tall. It had a slow first 2 weeks in the DWC system because I was using horrible tap water, but as soon as that was taken care of this was easily the most vigorous plant I've grown, and I don't just attribute it to the DWC method. The secondary branches were thicker than pencils before she was 18" tall. A few FAT colas on this little girl and no problem supporting herself until the last couple weeks. This would probably be one of my favorite strains to have kept growing, and the one I'm saddest about not having clones of.
Smell: 7/10 Another spicy one, stronger though and honestly more unique to me than the Tahoe
Bag appeal: 7/10 Covered in crystals, beautiful green and orange, strawberry-shaped dense calyx-y(?) buds
Taste: 8/10 Half sweet, half spice and easy to take a massive hit
Potency: 8/10 Definitely one of my favorite highs, I can feel that Haze cerebral high and the WW gives enough of a rounded high to have everything in one
