So here's my second bad attempt at taking closeup pictures, this time I brought in a CFL and pointed it at the plants instead of using the crappy flash on my camera. Still looks blurry and grainy but I can get the lens a little closer to the buds now.
I'd like to introduce you to the newest member of the family, my friend doogleef was running out of space in his tent so he hooked me up with this awesome LA woman clone and a batch of some super soil. She had a rough ride home but is recovering much better than I expected.
This plant is going to be a monster I can already count 15+ potential bud sites, maybe a little less after I lollipop in a few days. I don't have much space either but as soon as I harvest the kushberries I'll stick the dinachems in the other tent and it will have this one all to itself.
This is my first time growing in super soil so I have no idea what to expect, I just plan on giving it tap water throughout the entire grow and hope for the best. I started tying down the branches to spread them evenly but I will do a lot more training soon. Thanks again doog!
The dinachem plants are almost 4 weeks now, the buds are starting to fill out nicely and the smell is very strong. I might need to buy a carbon scrubber they are getting very smelly. These plants are completely covered in trichomes, they should be perfect for making bubble hash. I plan on saving the trim from all of these plants in the freezer until I harvest the clone in 9-10 weeks. I've always wanted to try out these 5gal bubble bags but I never had enough trim to work with.
I will probably end up freezing the entire WW plant, most of it anyway and a few popcorn buds from various plants I want to make as much as possible. I've pretty much forgotten about the WW it doesn't look very promising so I give it the least amount of light.
The kushberries start week 8 today, about 25% orange pistils but the trichs still look clear/milky. I think I will give them one last feeding then its plain water for a week until harvest. To prevent cal/mag problems in the future I plan on getting some dolomite lime and adding epsom salt in the soil from the start.
If this super soil grow shows a big improvement I will definately make the switch and use it from now on, chemical nutes are too expensive and I always end up with these strange yellowing/rusting deficiencies late in flower. I want my plants to stay healthy from beginning to end.
